The apartment is great, front office and maintenance staff are attentive and friendly. The events are always great. Only complaint is the parking company they utilize (LMS) is incompetent and predatory. Other than that, great place to live

Living at The Atherton is great! It’s convenient to everything from shops to breweries and restaurants, to workout studios, salons, and more. The building itself is always clean and has activities to participate in a few times a month to meet neighbors or a night out at no cost. I’m from out of state and I have felt right at home here!

Great amenities, but the pool has been closed for three months, and the staff have been unresponsive lately. But it's a beautiful building and ideal location.

The atherton has been a wonderful place to call home for the last 2 years but the experience has gone downhill due to staffing changes. The staff themselves are great the turnover has just made for gaps in current staffs knowledge and the loss of the weekly resident event that the leasing office used to throw. Add in the consistent elevator problems, the malfuntioning fire alarms, and the pool closure the property could use some work to be worth its high rent.
Great place to live all the staff is super helpful! Each request is always taken with the upmost care. I would recommend anyone to live here!

The Atherton is a great place. The gym and club spaces are always super clean and it smells amazing throughout the apartment. The only thing is we are on the 5th floor and our neighbors above us are very loud.

the location is great, central and close. the hallways are poorly kept, often trash and odor. the resident events could also be better as only allowing 25 ppl for this big of a complex is kinda ridiculous

I absolutely love living at the Atherton! I have been living here for almost 2 years and I can’t imagine living anywhere else in the Charlotte area. This complex is in the perfect location and is in walking distance to many stores, restaurants, and bars. The other residence here are extremely nice and I love the community.

The actual move in process was great, everything went very smoothly. Unfortunately since moving in we have had issues with an elevator shaft next to our apartment which has meant entering and exiting the building has been longer than anticipated.

I love living at the Atherton! Very lively area with lots of good food, music and drinks. There's lots of retail within a very short walk, and its right on the rail trail to getting into uptown is really easy.
Awesome place to live! Super modern, great location and helpful leasing office. The amenities are great. They also do fun events every month.
The Atherton is in the heart of South End. It is a great place to live. The amenities are incredible, the gym is always very clean, they always have coffee and tea in the club room.
Pricing for the apartments is too high. Good community but there are amenities pretty consistently broken. The gates elevators temd to have operating issues. The pool is great. I wish there was more seating for the number of residents.
Just moved in, so I can’t speak for all of the elements of living here. However, the move in and leasing process was super smooth. Jenna, Rhonda, and Rosa were all super helpful and provided answers to any and all of our questions (and we asked a lot of things hehehe). I have never had a smoother move in process in my life. Highly recommend this place for peace and ease of transition, while still moving into the heart of bustling south end. Absolutely love this place.

You pay for the amenities and location of the property. Units are decent, cleaning around the complex needs to be improved. Access to the building can be difficult for visitors and delivery services, call box should be installed at leasing office entrance in back parking garage.

Living at the Atherton has been great! The staff is very friendly & accommodating, the maintenance is very quick to solve any request, and the location/amenities are great. The only complaint would be the leasing elevator breaks quite frequently and there are a few instances of fire alarms throughout the year.
We are having to vacate our current residence due to construction which is not ideal but the staff are very friendly. I wish that the amenities in the complex were somewhat nicer.
Do not live at the Atherton! They inaccurately overcharge residents for monthly fees and never refund you. The Atherton has the most incapable management team of any residential community I have ever lived in. For over half a year, they inaccurately overcharged me for monthly fees. When I flagged this to the manager, she refused to own their team's mistake and refund me. Management lacks accountability and ethics. Save yourself the headache!

Jenna is incredibly helpful! The building is good! The website still shows pillows on the pool chairs, yet they don’t exist and it’s very uncomfortable. The garage constantly breaking and paying to have secure parking and not being able to park is frustrating.
