Gastonia is a small city just west of Charlotte on Interstate 85. The Standard district surrounding Main Avenue cultivates an atmosphere of classic Americana, with historic buildings housing locally-owned storefront shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Most of the city is residential, consisting of quiet streets, attractive homes, and tree-shaded sidewalks.
For weekend adventures, the beautiful forests and dramatic cliffs of Crowders Mountain State Park are perfect for hiking and camping. Numerous smaller parks and golf courses provided excellent venues for more low-key R&R, and shopping centers like Franklin Mills and the Gastonia Mall are close at hand for a little retail therapy.
The relaxed environment and stunning natural surroundings have made Gastonia immensely popular with commuters; downtown Charlotte can be reached in thirty minutes by car or 45 minutes by rail via Amtrak’s Crescent line.

Property Ratings at The Arbors
The Arbors is a wonderful community to reside at! I have lived at The Arbors twice and enjoyed my experience both times. The first time I lived there 4 years and I still currently reside there since July. The brick exterior gives the community a modern look, the open floor plans are designed to give you ample space and the townhome style layout makes for minimal noise! They have completed minor updates since the first time I lived there such as white doors and trim, hardwood flooring and brushed nickel knobs and it gives the apartment an updated look. I love having a storm door leading out to my back patio which leads to the woods and my neighbors are awesome and have all lived there 3 years (which should tell you the turnover is low). I recommend The Arbors to anyone looking for a beautiful two bedroom townhome!
