The city of Williamsburg is like stepping back in time. Well, in the historic district anyway. Founded in 1632, many of the settlement’s original structures still stand today as museums – all of Duke of Gloucester Street is a living history museum.
Because of its long-standing historical significance, tourism has a huge presence in Williamsburg. Other attractions that make up this fully-progressive city include Virginia’s oldest winery as well as a botanical garden.
The College of William and Mary, the nation’s second-oldest school, resides in Williamsburg. Its campus is in walking distance of historic sites, award-winning restaurants, taverns, and boutiques.
Williamsburg residents enjoy a plethora of conveniences, including direct access to major roadways and public transit. For those who enjoy golf, the Golden Horseshoe Golf Course is minutes away from town.

Property Ratings at Arbors at Towne Park
I just signed a new lease at The Arbors at Towne Park and I am extremely happy with both the management, the facility and the people that I have met so far. I know I will make many new friends here. I would recommend this senior living facility to active seniors who are looking for a minders facility with many amenities and community activities. This is a wonderful place to call home!
My parents moved into the Arbors at Towne Park, in Williamsburg, a little over a year ago. It is an amazing independent senior apartment community! The office staff, Ursula and Pat, are so helpful and accommodating. We had a family emergency and Pat was so caring and went above and beyond, she was phenomenal. They truly treat you like family here! All the apartments are well designed and have nice patios that overlook the beautiful, well-kept grounds. My dad specifically wanted to move to the location, because of the nice, peaceful walking areas and surroundings. Everything is new, but if a maintenance call or work is needed, Richard and Alvin are awesome! My parents had one minor issue and Richard was so helpful and knowledgeable. He really respected my parents and their property. He is so friendly and always ready to assist! There are so many amenities located on-site for folks to enjoy; like a gym, hair salon, media room, game room, dog park, dog washing station and probably a lot I don't even know about! The activities are endless! I've seen postings and was told about bingo, game nights, book clubs, knit & crochet clubs, potluck meals, holiday parties and cookouts. The residents have a blast here and all the neighbors are so friendly and really look out for each other! There is even a bus that transports residents to planned events, stores and restaurants. The residents always stay busy and engaged. The management and staff go above and beyond at this place and the people here are wonderful! I would definitely recommend!
