The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Talmadge Village
This is a very nice and affordable community with all amenities. I liked it very much. I have been checking for availability for last one month. But yesterday 07/22 noon when I was been to Leasing Office, I was told there is one unit available for Aug 15th and requested me for reservation fee. I got back with the signed checks to leasing office in 15-20mins. But I was told that unit is not available anymore. I was so disappointed on what had happened to me after a month of checking for availability in emails /calls and in-person visits. My request was declined just within 15mins time frame. I feel terribly disappointed.
Living here has been a horrible experience: from the very first day that we moved in there has been nothing but substantial problems and obstacles to our enjoyment of our apartment. On the day we moved in our apartment had no flooring and since then problems have continued to arise. For example: our power was going out in our entire unit for upwards of 3 weeks; we were not able to use the air conditioning which we had covenanted to use; and our cabinets were in disarray and none of the locks to the doors were properly functioning. Despite our hopes that things would improve the administration and management has showed that they do not care about their tenants. They continuously show up at our apartment without notice that they’re coming, sometimes as early as 7 am. This living experience is an absolute nightmare and disaster and it’s a shame there’s not more reviews to warn tenants. Please be aware of what you’re signing up for before you consider moving here!
Winter Storm Juno 2016. HORRIBLE CLEANUP. I had to travel from south Jersey to assist my mother who is older. The complex was completely snowed in. It's understood that cars need to be shoveled out by the renter but the entrance to the complex was snowed in, as well as all roadways to the apartments. What if there was an emergency? Vehicles were trapped in. No way to get out. This happens every heavy snowfall. No answer to phone calls by maintenance. Garden Communities/Talmadge Village/ Durham Woods is horrible. It's awful that an entire complex is snowed in.
Property Manager at Talmadge Village, Responded To This Review
Dear Resident, As you know, a state of emergency was issued for Winter Storm Jonas. Record-high snow fell in our area in just one day. Our teams, including outside contractors, are hard at work removing the snow. We understand your frustration and ask for your patience. We will continue our intensive snow removal until we resolve all issues. Sincerely, Talmadge Village Management
We have a one bedroom, 1 bath with a laundry room apartment. The living room is a decent size. The kitchen has a lot of storage and has a gas stove which is critical because I'm a chef. We have a nice patio leading from a sliding door from the living room. Our neighbors are really cool and friendly. There's a large community pool in our complex. Reserved parking space for one car although a garage is available upon availability and for extra money. Overall we are pretty pleased with our current home.
