Property Ratings at Takoma Landing
This is the worst place i have ever rented in my entire life. Gunshots constantly on the street behind, rodents EVERYWHERE and THEY DONT CARE. You will literally see mice runnning around walking to your apartment. DONT MOVE HERE. The place is not upkept and there's trash in the hallways all the time. Controlled access but random people have codes to get in. Trust me please! DONT MOVE HERE. RODENTS AND BUGS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please do not live here and if you choose to, please consider this a fair warning. Takoma Landing and it’s management are horrible and have been since my boyfriend and I moved in. Since the first day of move in, we were called 3 days back-to-back with leasing (specifically Anna) asking us when we were moving in and if we were ready. We booked a uhaul and scheduled so much just to get to the apartment and see not only it being half done, but the carpet was not laid down nor did our oven or laundry appliances work. Briana (also in leasing) told us they would reimburse us for the uhaul since we had to keep the reservation longer than planned due to our apartment not being ready. We still never received our money back. Our oven has not worked since we moved in April 2021, we tell leasing every week and it still has not been fixed. We have not been able to cook on our oven or stovetop since we moved in. Roaches are everywhere and they do not care. The AC unit has to be put on the lowest setting to kick on. Our washer/dryer does not run properly, leaving us to having to dry our clothes the whole day for them to be dry. We did not recieve our mail key until one month after fully moving in. Multiple light switches in the apartment are broken, leaving the light on and causing the bill to surge. Also most of the power outlets in the master bedroom are as good as nothing. The walls have a substantial amount of LEAD in them which they don’t tell you until you sign the lease. I put in countless maintenance requests and still no fixing, no compensation for having an incomplete apartment and leasing knows and purposefully does not pick up the phone lines. It’s ridiculous here. Please, if you’re a family do not live here.
The rental office is helpful and attentive. I just moved here a few months ago and felt very welcomed !!!

This apartment complex is entirely infested with cockroaches, which carry germs and disease. It is so bad that there are cockroaches in the refrigerators and dishwashers. They are unable to control the problem because they won't spend the money on real extermination services. I would never ever have considered moving in if I had known. Don't rent here!!!!
Do your self a favor AND DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is the worst apt. I have ever lived in. Don't believe all the hype about the staff and beautiful grounds that's all it is HYPE. Yes being close to the District gets people to look at this dump. I see why they change the name. I had problems from the first day that I moved in until I moved out in April of 2016. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM HERE.

Ms. Cipriana was great I am looking to move and I contacted her rental office and she welcomed me and did my application immediately. She is a very sweet lady and very professional. Her attitude shows she cares about the property and her residents!!
On a scale from 1-10 i would give it a good 4. Maintenance department takes forever to respond to problems, days on end and the trash here is terrible.
They offer both apartments and townhouse style apartments complete with washer and dryer in TH. Swimming pool. Play ground. Live here for 3 years. Safe and kids friendly
