Property Ratings at Sterling Troy Apartments
This is the worst place i have ever lived. The maintenance men are loud and mean. I hear them every. single. morning. yelling and swearing. Their office is in the basement and their voices carry to my room. I complained to the office manager, Jule. She said she would talk to them. I heard her go down and talk to them, and i heard the maintenance men get mad (I can hear full on conversations from my room.) Since this was addressed, they have gotten louder and meaner. The apartment complex is dirty. Trash stays in the parking lot for weeks. The apartments are poorly renovated. Parking isn’t enforced. The office staff are unreliable and dance around your problems. The maintenance men are petty and angry. The list goes on & on...
When I first moved to the Sterling Troys, it wasn't so bad. The management was nice, there was a cleaning woman who kept the grounds up, all the maintenance men were friendly and upkeep was done in a timely manner. But after living there for nearly 5 years, the place is really on the decline. The grounds are in need of upkeep, stairs and carpet in the hallways are filthy, filthy walls, broken down vehicles in the parking lots. There have been several vehicles broken into in the parking lot (during the day time, not only at night). It was always rather loud because of kids running up and down the stairs and in the hallway. When you complain to the leasing agent/apartment manager she just blows it off. There's no maintenance or management there after 5pm, so after that it's like a free for all. Other cons: there's no buzzer system to let people in. So if you order food, or have guests come they need to call you and then you have to figure out what door they're at to go let them in. Parking is VERY limited and even if you pay for the covered parking ($15 extra month when I lived there) people still park in your spot. When it snows it can take DAYS before they have anyone come out to plow, and when they do plow, they often plow cars into spots. So then you have to dig yourself out to get your vehicle out. The building are OLD, very old...the place was once a motel and it feels like it's a pay by the hour motel yet again. I would definitely NOT suggest anyone move there, even if they're running deals on the rent. Pay the extra $100 to live somewhere nice, quiet and less dangerous.
in a rush to find something to have place my bed in for me to lay my head on at night, this was the only apartment I could find in my budget. For a raggedy little apartment they sure do ask for more than what it's worth. Even worse, I had to ask my friend to help me with rent that I can't afford. ?? help me
