State College Collective on Northbrook

I live over at Farmstead and absolutely love it here! Granted I did have to submit 2 maintenance orders for my bedspace but the kitchen and living room is very spacious and the rate is very reasonable compared to other places!

Today was absolutely my final straw for this apartment. Living here was the biggest mistake I have ever made. We did not receive a working dryer for 3 MONTHS. They do not salt the stairs or provide any sort of winter maintenance at all. If you have a maintenance issue of any kind don't expect to hear back at all. Do not bother calling the office because their only response is how it is "out of their hands" and they can refer you to management who also will not answer you at all. My parents legitimately needed to threaten the State College Collective legally before they finally did something. They are the most difficult people to reach, but if your guest parks on the side of the street...DONT worry they will make sure the tow truck is here within 20 minutes! Great work guys really awesome! If I could do anything with my frustration I will make it my last dying wish to make sure no one ever makes the mistake of signing a lease here. Save yourself. I'm begging.

I live in Arron l three bedroom apartment and it is fantastic. Very rarely do I have any issues with neighbors or loud noises from the street. The maintenance team can be a little slow at times but they do good work. 10 out of 10 for the price.

Everytime I have an issue with something the staff tries diligently to fix the situation. They listen and are always respectful when speaking to residents!

Extremely well kept, staff are super nice and helpful. Super close to stores and food and only 10 minutes from campus. Overall, great.

The apartment is nice and spacious, and the staff and maintenance are always more than willing to help when you have a concern or an issue. Would definitely rent from them again!

The homes at state college collective are asthetically pleasing to the eyes and comfortable for living. The location is a great one from where you can access giant, weis, walmart and aldi easily. The kitchen is spacious and big for sharing with other roommates. You can enjoy sunny season by sitting in the balcony with a cup of tea in your hand. The maintenance of the property is also improving day by day. Overall, if you want to enjoy a quiet and comfy place, it is a great choice.

I love living here! Maintenance and all team members are great, reliable, and give the best service possible. Not too far from campus, and there are a great number of stores so close by. My dog and I are so happy to be here!

It a great community to live in. Was a little dirty upon arrival and now they are doing porch renovations which i feel could’ve been done over summer but who am I to do that. Anyway, overall really respectful besides the neighbors fire alarm beeping all the time

For the price, you get a lot of space. It is nice having an open kitchen with lots of storage. I love having my own bedroom and bathroom. Having an in unit washer and dryer is also a huge bonus.The complex is very accommodating and the location is great. I love how the bus passes allow you to take any bus route, as well.

The apartment itself is spacious and well-organized. The staff is usually super helpful with any concerns or questions I have had. Sometimes, it can take a while for maintenance requests to be fulfilled and for some account issues to be resolved. Overall, the place is in a great location, close to parks, and has a bus to campus just outside the complex.

move in: expect to be disappointed. apartment will not be in the best position, my bed is still broken and AC was not working properly when we first moved in. apartment was also dirty in the move in with some damage. you will find some difficulty during the move in period, after that i’d say it’s pretty nice.

The staff is super helpful and always has answers to questions. The apartments are awesome and super close to a lot of stores and shopping centers. State college collective is an amazing place to live!

Great place for students. Really reciprocative management. Place is next to Tom Tudek Park, so it's an amazing environment to go for a walk in the evenings. Overall 10/10

I currently live at Farmstead, in Park Forest Village, and my apartment is decent. All the appliances work well, and I have had no problems so far. The only issue is that my current apartment has cockroaches in it, but that's it. I will renew my lease for next year with SCC.

This property is amazing and beautiful, very quiet and rural. The office stay is super friendly and have solved all my problems!

This place is wonderful (Aaron Dr). Close to campus (7min) and super close to grocery stores like Giant and Walmart. Very affordable. I love that we get a bus pass as part of the lease and we are able to take a short commute to work. I was quickly given a townhome after I applied. I was moving long distance and needed a place to live ASAP. My roommate and I are super compatible as well. Happy that I renewed my lease.

The property is extremely spacious and serene. The neighborhood is peaceful. The complete service requests promptly and are very reliable. The living room and kitchen are spacious and the townhouse even has a patio. Overall, excellent property.

Good sized apartment for the price and the property is kept pretty clean

The best thing about State College Collective is the rent. It’s super decent compared to the other places in State College. New management is working hard after taking over a horrible management.

There is nowhere else in State College that you can find an apartment for this size at a low cost. The area and neighborhood is quiet. Convenient bus stops make the surrounding area and campus accessible. Visitor parking is free.

I'm living at State College Collective on Farmstead for my second year in a row now. They offer a clean, quality apartment at a price that is cheaper than a lot of alternatives. They are always quick to check on any work orders we put in, and offer a free bus pass to all their residents too. I would highly recommend renting from SCC to anyone who needs an apartment in the State College area.

I would say in entire state college, you cannot find such a huge place for this price. I am a resident here in the 3bedroom town houses for the past few months and really love the peaceful environment. Perks: 1. Massive living room and kitchen 2. Huge rooms with great ventilation, private restrooms 3. Bus pass included in rent (may change) Drawbacks: 1. EB bills are expensive since the unit is huge 2. Buses routes matter (1 or 2 buses only cover this route) - most of the other apartments have this drawback as well

Quiet place and away from the busy roads. Spacious place everything at your convenience. I would love it if the maintenance was faster.

I live in a one bed/one bath and I love how quiet the property is and how spacious my little place is.

The best location and all the grocery stores are close by. It is also feels extremely safe as it is a well lit place. Campus is 15mins by bus which is great. The construction is a little old, however, this property is very spacious and well managed.

I loved my experience here so far at the Collective. The rooms are very spacious and it feels homey.

I like that it’s in the style of a townhome. It’s a comfy little space where I feel like I’m transitioning out of college and into a real home. The only flaw is that there’s a bit of inconsistency with the style of the apartments (layout & upgraded vs. not)

State college collective comes with a lot. For the price you pay, you get a great amount of amenities! Wifi, your own bathroom, cable, your own washer and dryer. It’s very nice and the amount of space is a lot more than you would expect

The townhouse is spacious. I have an attached bathroom. But the maintenance is really poor. If you put a maintenance request then it will be solved 1-2 months later. Also the management is not very considerate to residents.

I’ve been in my apartment since August 2023 and I can’t say enough about how great my experience has been! The unit is super spacious, maintenance is friendly and quick, and it’s per friendly which is a bonus! I will definitely be renewing!
