Property Ratings at Stadium Village Apartments
Affordable units close to campus and restaurants. Friendly management and staff!
The buildings here are very old and have been in need of a face lift for a while. However, rent is cheap and the new management has been courteous and doing all they can to improve things. They have been slowly implementing changes and are investing in updating basic safety of the apartments (recently they have been installing sprinklers and fire alarms). However, these new improvements do come at a cost. As someone that primarily studies in and is in a graduate program where instruction is mainly over Zoom/online, the amount of noise and interruptions from construction has been very disruptive. Understandably, construction takes time and doesn't always follow a communicated schedule, but there have been times where I have had to rearrange my apartment to accommodate construction that gets delayed, sometimes up to the following week. Additionally, though the walls are decent, the doors are metal doors that don't completely fit the doorframe, and therefore allow excessive noise from the hallway/the apartment across from me to creep in. When my neighbor across the hall decides to play his music, I can clearly hear every note and beat. Additionally, since these apartments are old and dilapidated, it takes maintenance quite some time to get around to fixing things because of the sheer volume of things that need to be fixed that the previous management did not address. Overall, the management is nice and I appreciate their sincere efforts to improve the apartments. Additionally, they kept rent the same for this year. However, the noise from these improvements is incompatible with my lifestyle described above. If you are someone who uses an apartment as just a place to sleep, go ahead and rent; however, if you are someone who spends most of their time inside their living space, wait a few years to rent, once major construction issues have been fixed.
Lived here for a year. As you can find, the rents in here are relatively cheap compared to the others. Just think of a cheap hotel you can imagine. So the general conditions of the apartment are below the average: 1) Plumb issues. 2) Out of order washing machines that nobody cares. 3) No ventilation at all. 4) Water outage, power outage happen sometimes and it took a time to fix it. 5) Some bugs. 6) Sometimes you can see the brown waters. I am not lying anything about the issues above.
