Kannapolis is a medium-sized city in central North Carolina. It’s a nice location for commuters—the drive to downtown Charlotte is under forty minutes via Interstate 85, and Amtrak runs a route between Kannapolis and Charlotte as well.
Kannapolis is very friendly to residents who like to stay active, with numerous public parks and a series of running and biking trails collectively known as “The Loop” on the north side of town. As the hometown of the legendary Earnhardt racing family, NASCAR is interwoven into the city’s identity—the local minor league baseball team is even named the Kannapolis Intimidators in honor of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr., the team’s former owner.

Property Ratings at Stadium Lofts
Hallways smell of marijuana daily. Apartment then smells like marijuana when you turn on your AC.
The living experience is too dependent on things outside of the resident’s control. If you move in, you’d better hope your upstairs neighbor respects quiet hours or has some sort of awareness and courtesy towards others. There’s no point to complaining to management because the neighbor can simply say, “Oh, that’s not me stomping periodically through the night.” and they’re off the hook. Then you’re just the annoying complainer who is expected to get out of bed and record your neighbor to report them and it becomes a never-ending cycle. The Cannonballers’ stadium blasts music well into quiet hours on weeknights, even when there isn’t a game and all the lights are off. I’m a big sports fan and game days/nights are cool, and everything noise wise in that regard is expected and perfectly fine with me, but why is there music blasting past 11:00 into midnight on a Tuesday in early March? Luckily the genres they play are pretty good if you’re looking for a positive to that situation. If you can work around the noise issues, it’s a decent place. I’ve found that running two white noise machines at high volume and sleeping with my head in between a few pillows blocks the stomping noise/vibrations from above and the hallways somewhat well, but next solution will be noise cancelling headphones if that ends up failing long term. Like anything in life, you have to fix your own problems. Street parking can be challenging at times. I’ve wanted to love it here, and I do sometimes, and other times I regret moving in. But I will continue to try to make adjustments to my sleeping habits to manage things outside my control. Best of luck if you choose to join the community. For now, it’s a low rating for me.
New construction apartments with top of the line appliances and amenities. The location couldn’t be better. Next to the ball park with booming downtown with lots of shops and dining. Close proximity to everything you’ll ever need.
