Spring Valley is a charming mid-sized village located just twenty miles from Manhattan and five miles from the New Jersey state line. The landscape is filled with tranquil suburban neighborhoods with a small but lively Main Street commercial district featuring a unique blend of restaurants serving up everything from Caribbean vegetarian fare to Portuguese barbecue.
The cozy small-town environment attracts many folks who want to put some distance between themselves and the often frantic pace of life in New York City, but the close distance and commuter rail service allows many residents to still work in the Big Apple. The relatively affordable apartment market and low crime rate definitely sweeten the deal, and the close proximity to the massive Harriman State Park allows outdoor enthusiasts to head off and explore the natural beauty of southeast New York anytime they start to feel a bit antsy.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Sleepy Hollow Gardens
Very Loud music and base played all the time day and night from Units 25 and unit 17, heavy stomping, lots of banging on the walls and hot water not working at times even in kitchen and bathroom after it wven running for 30 min or more I'm so glad I moved! You should be able to live in peace not feel like your at a night club. The rent in Rockland is not cheap anyways.
For leasing information, everything is done on-line. You cannot pick up the phone and call anyone. When you use the on-line system to contact them, leave your information - nobody ever calls back. We have been trying for days and days and days. If that is the way they handle thins, I would not want my son living in such a poorly managed apartment complex, no matter how cheap it may be.
Super clean community, well kept, quiet, and new management is very professional, respectful of tenants and helpful. Drive slow leaving the parking lot because it's a very busy two way street.
