The historic Anacostia neighborhood in Washington, DC flaunts its classic character within its businesses and architecture. This residential community consists of Italianate and cottage-style houses along with a few scattered Queen Anne homes and brick-row houses. The heart of the neighborhood sits directly across the Frederick Douglass Bridge.
Anacostia has two excellent museums, a growing art scene and a year-round ice rink, and it attracts residents with the Washington Nationals Stadium and its well-known landmark, the World's Largest Chair. The intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Good Hope Road marks Downtown Anacostia. Located five miles southeast of Washington, this area stands as one of the most famous neighborhoods in the southeast area of the city. The Anacostia Historic District took its place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Property Ratings at Skyline Apartments
Wrong choice of living. Poor Management and Very Poor Maintenance. Roaches and Mice you would think pay rent here as well as much and they be out and about. Never do thee buildings have water let alone hot water as well. Shootings occur like crazy and many drug dealers are on premises. Security is total garbage and Your not even safe with Police on thee premises. All is just as scared as thee tenants living on thee premises. Tows on thee premises is 250$ if non living crazy right. Units of nice size but foundation is at its weakest end. I would advise noone to move on neither premises. Transfer's is over 7 yrs long but Newbies move in- In no time. Camera's is garbage too. Plumbing and pipes stay bursting and property keep floods. Been a tenant over 8 yrs too long. Find another property to rent this one is not it!! Truly waste of money. Everybody either has ROACHES' MICE' RATS OR BIRDS IN UNIT
Been on thee premises for 11 yrs. Units of nice size but thee maintenance is very poor. Shootings are on a daily basis. Watched 8 people get murdered in thee pkng lot of tenants and the property is still standing. Mice and roches trust u will deal with. Tenants and Management are very rude and horrible. Property Manager could care less about anything that goes on around there unless it complicates her job. Waiting list for placement and tranfers is more that 7 yrs. Tenants have more kids then thee space given. Pools are closed dwn due to deaths found in them and its so much more so if your even suggesting moving here. Dont do it Please. O and i might add kids have gotten hit/shot on thee premises as well. No safety net guaranteed.
THIS PROPERTY HAS NO PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS. THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES. THEIR MAINTENANCE AROUND THE AREA IS EXTREMELY POOR. THE PARKING ARANGMENTS ARE TERRIBLE. THERE IS ALWAYS MAJOR VIOLENCE IN THE AREA, KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS WILL JUST STAND IN THE HALLWAYS OF THE APARTMENTS AS IF THEY HAVE NO LIFE. WHEN OLDER PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO WALK UP OR DOWN THE STAIRS THE KIDS WILL JUST SIT THERE WITH NO RESPECT TO GET UP OUT OF THE WAY. THIS PROPERTY NEEDS TO BE DEMOLISHED.
