As the name of the town suggests, East Hartford borders Hartford’s east side, directly across the Connecticut River. Primarily a residential community with a large population of commuters, East Hartford rentals have a lot to offer beyond just a quiet home life. Rentschler Field at the center of town regularly hosts large sporting events (as the home field for the UConn Huskies football team in particular) and concerts. Several large parks and a scenic riverfront provide ample playgrounds for residents to enjoy the outdoors. With Hartford being so close, residents of East Hartford can easily access the cultural resources of the larger city, including the XL Center, Hartford Stage, and XFINITY Theatre.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at 905 Lofts
please be aware that this building currently has an infestation of roaches and the property manager is not friendly. When I first moved here 5 years ago when it was Silver brick it was a great place. The new owners suck and do not have a pool or barbecue area as advertised please do not waste your money here
The apartments were just ok. I took a tour. The problem was the entire place was being renovated when I toured. Didn’t look as nice as it seems. For some reason the guide failed to show all the amenities. She just showed the unit I’d be living in and made the whole process feel kind of pushy and rushed. She asked for a $100 deposit immediately to “hold the unit”. She explains that the security deposit may double after a credit check which I had no worries about since my credit was very good and she said we should be fine. As papers are being signed she asks if me and my roommate if are first time renters, which we were. She failed to explain that since we are first time renters we were REQUIRED to pay double security. She made it seem like everything was just based off of our credit scores and normal security deposit would do. Now we are $100 short for nothing and feel misled for our first experience. Never again.
Property Manager at 905 Lofts, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must have been. We strive to be clear and transparent with all prospective tenants, and we apologize if the information provided during your tour wasn’t as thorough as it should have been. The $100 deposit is intended to hold the unit while we process applications and credit checks, and we apologize if this wasn’t clearly explained. We always aim to ensure that our residents feel well-informed about the leasing process, including security deposits and any applicable requirements for first-time renters. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly so we can address them. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our communication moving forward.
