Madison, Alabama combines small-town hospitality with proximity to the Tennessee Valley's technology corridor. Located just west of Huntsville, this historic railroad town, founded in 1818, has evolved into a thriving community. The housing market offers diverse options, from single-family homes to apartment communities, with current average rents ranging from $1,172 for one-bedroom units to $1,721 for three-bedroom homes. While rental rates have decreased 3-4% over the past year, Madison continues to attract residents seeking quality housing near Huntsville's employment centers.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Shelton Park Apartments
We have been living here since May and have had numerous work orders put in since. Only minor issues have been fixed, such as an outlet going out. We were missing blinds in a window when we moved in, our back screen door was also broken on move in, both still not being fixed 8 months later. Our AC was leaking for most of the summer, and it wasn’t even looked at until at least a month after it stopped. Our dishwasher just went out and we’ve been informed it will take at least three months to get replaced. They want to up our rent by $100 if we renew our lease and also start charging for water. I’ll admit it is a nice and cozy place to live, but what am I paying so much for if NOTHING is going to get fixed?? This place is a joke.
Prices listed online are incorrect. Brandy will give you the run around. Think twice about moving here.
Current rent price is false on every single website! And the management seems to have a hard time with chronic lying.
