Moved in at the end of last year and couldn't be happier with my cozy new home. It's peaceful, quiet, and the neighbors are nice. Maintenance and Management staff are pleasant and work diligently to ensure that things run smoothly and are in good working order. The apartments themselves are really nice with wide hallways, spacious rooms, plenty of outlets, and the nicest kitchen I've ever had in an apartment.

The apartment itself is fine. The office staff are very kind a professional; never had any issues with the sweet ladies in the office! The maintenance team are very nice men; they’re super slow to fix things. Took over a month to get the AC fixed a while back. They also don’t tell you when they’re coming, which as a single woman living alone is a major issue for me. I stopped making maintenance requests since they always take so long and don’t notify you when they’re coming. When they do fix something, they do it well, though! Maybe I’m just impatient ?? had a lot of issues with ants. Otherwise it’s pretty great for the price and the community itself is safe. I’ve always had good neighbors.

The location is super convenient, it's in a busy part of the city but tucked away nicely in a quiet spot, where everything is still a stones throw away. The management is generally responsive, especially when it comes to maintenance requests. My only suggestion would be to improve the utility closet, where the water heater and HVAC are, with a small wall or enclosure that acts as a containment area, preventing water from leaking and spreading and causing damage to the apartment.

This has not been the best experience. From the horrible move in process, the constant pest issue, unleashed pets, maintenance crew in my apartment without consent and late night renovations in the unit above me. I hope this community improves

The apartment I stay in has been pretty bad with issues over the last 4 years (the complex is pretty old). I moved in February of 2020, but what makes me give 5 stars is how the owners and management have been attentive, understanding, professional and kind when it comes to my needs with whatever issue. Not only that but they have been working diligently to renovate the older unit to be like new againI That says a lot to me as a tenant and is why I have been here going on 5 years and just renewed my lease again.

The front office staff is friendly but the property has been facing quite a bit of breaking into of the mailbox and gym equipment stolen/missing-without any replacements being made. It took a long while for the mailbox repairs, even the local USPS refused to hold onto the resident mail after a point-it was quite an inconvenience.

2.5 hours before I moved in, they said my unit wasn't ready and I'd need to switch to another unit, that was over $100 more than the one I signed a lease for. Then I was told there was additional monies to be paid, which could Only be paid by money order. They sent me the wrong lease, which was for 18 months after I asked for 12 months. Additional documentation needed signing. I was told next months needed to be paid up front because of the "after the 25" rule, yet I moved in before the 25th. I had to locate the unit by myself, no one showed me where anything on property was, including my unit. Unit had numerous issues and wasn't cleaned properly. Work orders take multiple days to resolve even if it's an emergency.

Very happy. Its pretty quiet where I stay. Clean, quiet neighbors, Office staff and maintenance are very kind and understanding. Love the view and sound of the pond, and the different birds that come around is a plus for me. Having a balcony is great.

I've been a resident here for about two months. I previously lived in a "luxury" apartment complex and needed to lower my expenses so I checked out The Muse! Let me tell you, this was the best decision I ever made! I LOVE my new apartment! The layout is so charming that it doesn't feel like an apartment at all. It feels like a home! I had a rocky start in my move, especially since it happened during the ice storm, when everyone seemed to be having issues. But management and especially maintenance went above and beyond to address my issues in a timely manner! I've seen some reviews bashing maintenance but my experience with them was excellent! There were issues out of our control but these guys did everything they could to make me feel comfortable while the issues got resolved. The office staff are also extremely friendly and helpful! From my initial tour to move-in and beyond, the staff have been awesome and I highly recommend you visit them if you're looking for a new place to call home! I'm so happy here and I think you will be as well!

It is nice and quiet outside. It does not have most the inconveniences of other apts. I feel very comfortable and safe here. The ladies in the office are super sweet which really makes it feel like home.

Almost a month without AC. Now that's luxury! Lots of creaking noise when walking around. The kitchen actually has a deep hole you can almost fall in. All they do is collecting rents and fees. Lots of them!!! I've made several maintenance requests. Still no AC!!!!

The management is horrible, the minute you sign the lease you will regret it. These apartments are poorly made, and inside out a disaster. Please search elsewhere. They don't want anything but your money and will not help you. Manager is super mean and inconsiderate.
I’ve been here a little over a month. So far so good. I don’t think im going to have a bug problem. I saw one big roach but after I sprayed it I haven’t seen anymore. The maintenance men are very nice and go above and beyond. The office people was very nice to me. I pulled my shower knob out of the wall and they came the next day. Also I put in a work order because my shower head wasn’t on tight enough and they came the same day. I gave a 4 stars because when I moved in the bathroom and kitchen was dusty and stuff all over the tub and the insides of the cabinets were dirty. But I deep cleaned the apartment myself and haven’t had any real problems since. I love how spacious the apartment is and the bathroom is a nice size as well. I also LOVE my glass sliding door that leads to my own private patio. Also they keep the grounds well kept and there are plenty of dumpsters on every corner.
There are bugs ! Specifically roaches . The maintenance people are extremely lazy . They half fix things and it takes them forever to come . Oh yeah and don’t let you remove someone from the lease . They add all these extra fees. I wouldn’t suggest it but it isn’t the worst .
Do not move here!!!! When I moved in stuff was broken!!! My living room is flooding and they won’t do anything to fix it

Administratively this place is terrible. Maintenance does not fix things when they are broken and whenever they do come out it's barely two days before they issue presents itself again. When you complain to the office about things not being fixed there's always an excuse they come up with as to why which is mostly them saying it's your fault. It took three weeks and me showing my behind to have my unit fixed. The office has lost my house key twice. When you call the emergency line no one answers, but if you send an email with your complaints they tell you to call so that you can't keep a paper trail. The dishwasher molds and sewers make the house smell terrible, something else they won't fix. Only thing I enjoy is the location and apartment size.
I had a change in my situation (needing a larger unit sooner) before I had a chance to move in. I tried to find an alternative unit but nothing was available. The manager also pushed my move-in date back twice because of other units he had to get ready. I found another complex that was very accommodating, having the larger unit available within the week. The management at Shadow Lake would not consider refunding all or a even a portion of my deposit, nor would they admit any culpability for the failure on their part to switch me to an appropriate unit in a reasonable time.
I’m extremely picky about my living space as I work from home most of the time. I’ve lived here almost 4 years and always had great customer service and a nice, quiet place to live. Staff is friendly and prompt when needed. Probably renewing lease again soon.
Moved in a week before the pandemic. I am so glad to have found such a quiet place. The management is attentive and Maintenance Staff professional. Great place to live.
Apartments are very spacious and nice. Quiet atmosphere. Several wonderful amenities. Management is very helpful, courteous and understanding. Maintenance is quick and efficient. Prices are great! What more could you ask for?

I love my 2 bedroom 2bath I have been living at Shadow lakes for 2 years now. Great place in a great area. The staff always greet you with a smile and very helpful to my needs. and quick to attend to any problems that arise.
If you're looking for a great place to stay and amazing staff then look no further. I want to write my review on Zaneta she is an awesome manager! She goes over and beyond and make sure she goes the extra mile to get the job done. She is phenomenal! If you're looking for not only a great apartment but great customer service also then don't look any further! Zaneta rocks!

I lived here for 2.5 years. Loved having windows on three sides, the location was great for shopping and walking, and the rent was very affordable. My apartment was nice but only had a ceiling fan in the MBR. However, I ended up with very noisy neighbors above and that, along with some other issues, made me decide to move. One issue is that the heated indoor pool is not heated! The water is not heated at all and the heater for the pool area rarely comes on ( I was told it only came on at 32°!) The indoor pool was a main reason I chose SL. Also, the community no longer has recycling (as required by local law) because tenants abused it and the city removed the dumpsters. Trash is a problem as the dumpsters are often overflowing. Maintenance is generally good though I had a spot of mold/mildew treated and it was still here when I moved. The lake is nice with fish and turtles, but sometimes there’s too much litter around. Overall, a good value in a great location and for the most part neighbors are friendly and quiet.
