Living in Little Rock
If you want some hearty burgers, try the "Hot Dog" cheeseburger at Arkansas Burger Co., which comes with bacon, grilled onion, and cheese dip. For pizza, you have Layla's Gyros and Pizzeria, or Zaza Fine Salad and Wood Oven Pizza Co. on Kavanaugh Blvd. For great Asian style cooking, you've got Fantastic China, with its romantic atmosphere and modest pricing, or the Sashimi Japanese Steakhouse where you can grab some sushi, sake and steak. Whatever you're after, Little Rock has it. You can wander Downtown and step into any random restaurant, diner or cafe and probably have a pretty great lunch.
Little Rock's buses are provided by the Central Arkansas Transit Authority, and they run a total of 26 regular routes, with more for special events like festivals and so on. These buses are great when you need to get across town and don't have a set of wheels of your own, but if you plan on living in Little Rock for a while, then you may want to consider investing in a vehicle. You can comfortably get by shopping in your own neighborhood for groceries, hanging out at the nearest coffee shop and so on, but now and then you're going to want to visit a friend across town without waiting an hour for the bus to get there. Much of the city is also served by a popular streetcar system, and the community’s roads are generally very bicycle-friendly.
