Property Ratings at Serene Gardens Apartments
I rather love my apartment, despite the uneven floors left behind by the Northridge earthquake. I was very nervous about it for a long time, but after talking with the building manager I discovered that this building had been red tagged after the earthquake, and that a retaining wall had eventually been built, so its probably more safe than the buildings adjacent to it. There is also a retaining wall built into the apartment below, as well as a subfloor. It's a fairly decently large 2 bedroom, 2 bath, we live in the uppermost corner in the rear of the complex, so our apartment is literally the most private in the entire complex. The grounds are very well kept, and issues that come up are usually dealt with promptly. In the 5 years we've lived here we've had both toilets and the oven replaced, the front porch resurfaced, the balcony and stair railings painted, the faucets have all been updated, and many many more improvements have occurred. The biggest complaint I have is that due to our building's orientation, there is not one single moment of the day where sunlight comes into the apartment, ior even on the porch. But I simply built a planter box on the outside of the rail to grow my herbs, so that takes care of my only want of sun.
