Property Ratings at Scandia Apartments
Staff at the office is very kind and helpful. Maintenance is incapable of providing time windows or of being on time when they do. Other residents are not always the best e.g. trash issues, not picking up after their dogs, dogs off leash
The apartment is good, it has valet trash and nice patio but because there are so many trees, we are having few issues like bugs, and was not given completely clean while handing it to us.
It’s Great living here service is swift neighborhood is nice I work a lot and unlike my last place it’s not noisy at all times of the night there is always parking for even my guest
Unfortunately the staff, once again, refuses to complete maintenance requests in a timely manner. They care nothing about their residents' comfort or experience, and absolutely cannot be counted on to fix issues that arise in their apartments. The staff is incompetent and they have no clue what good customer service is.
So far, the transition into a new apartment has been very easy. Couldn’t have done it without Cece. Every process was smooth and straight forward.
Fair enough. My experience living at Scandia has been decent overall, but there is definitely room for improvement. The location is convenient, and the community itself is generally quiet and student-friendly. However, one major challenge has been the frequent lag in communication from management.
We moved in April 1 2025 and it has been wonderful. We are on the backside of the property, and it is beautiful. The apartment is spacious, was very clean, and work orders are addressed very quickly. Nothing but good things so far!
Been living here since September of 2022, maintenance has improved greatly on fixing repairs unfortunately Scandia apartments still have a trash problem with neighbors leaving trash everywhere makes you not want to walk the neighborhood because it does not have any curb appeal the apartments could plant flowers and bushes just to add some appeal
So far I've had quite a good experience at Scandia. I wish we could get an updated furnace/AC but other than that it's been good! Hopefully the food trucks come back soon!
Very nice and friendly . I love all the amazing amenities. The community is very quiet and close to shopping facilities. I can’t wait to get out and walk around to meet my new neighbors??
Nothing but great experience since moving back in Jan 2025. Its quiet, always clean, maintenance is quick and the offive staff is amazing. Very nice place to live
Overall Scandina is a family friendly environment. It’s super spacious and maintenance is fast and reliable… my only issues are the infestation of raccoons causes by the upkeep of trash that the residents contribute too NOT the office or staff…. I have seen on countless occasions where the residents will place their garbage outside or the compactor instead of opening the door and literally dumping their trash….. another issue I’ve been dealing with is my dryer sadly that’s still hasn’t been fixed. All in all I would recommend this place to any family or single person…. Love it here. Out of all my places I’ve lived this is the best one.. ( this is coming from someone that moves every year btw )
Been here for 3yrs no issues would renew again but recently had twins and need a bigger space. Love my penthouse overall no issues . Great off team
I hate the fact I'm forced to pay for trash removal. I can take the trash to the dumpster myself I don't need it taken from my door and some dude it's very loud doing it at 10:00 or 11:00 at night
The shared washer and dryers were taken away and then rent was raised. I was promised a W/D but never got one. Every time I use the oven or stove the CO2 detector goes off and I told maintenance but said nothing can be done. My power and water have randomly been shut off multiple times living here and then 3-8hrs later it’s back. Windows are poorly insulated so electric bill is high. One window leaks when it rains. Again I’ve told maintenance about this but it’s too big of an issue to fix so now the ledge is swishy wood. During summer there are a few weeks where there is no dumpster so the trash blows all over the place; into the main street and the apartment complex. The balconies facing the woods are so sketchy.
I am so happy to be apart of the Scandia family. my best friend lives here. The only thing that makes me dislike this apartment is that we were given a bed bug infested apartment which now means we have to get new clothes and beds.
Still a liitle slow at ensuring trash around the property is cleaned up. Like the location. Neighbors have been friendly, Office staff is helpful and friendly.
It’s been great living here, super quiet! I like the amenities and the views, it’s very convenient to be near everything, I would recommend moving here!
Overall positive experience, no complaints regarding the leasing office or maintenance. Pretty quiet and close to everything. People need to pick up dog poop though.
Been living here for two and a half years now, rent has gone up 3 times, and my review to this place is still the same. Avoid maintenance if you can, fix most things yourself if possible or good luck waiting. Trash is still an ongoing issue. Other than that everything is fine once you close that door and don't go out.
Living at Scandia has been a great experience! The management team is friendly and responsive, and the property is well-maintained with clean common areas. The location is incredibly convenient—close to CVS, Castleton Square Mall, and plenty of other stores and restaurants, which makes running errands and enjoying some downtime super easy. The community atmosphere is welcoming, and the amenities provided are a nice bonus. I’ve had no major issues during my time here.

So far i love these apartments! they are beautiful!! the staff is so friendly and they are always helpful! at my last apartment if i put in a work order it would take weeks to get anything done with Scandia and their maintenance team it gets done within the week!

Apartment itself is spacious and cozy, however you can hear every single thing from your neighbors. You can hear cars from 465, also. Office staff really doesn’t care to help with anything to try to be nice, and notices seem to never be sent out in time.

Apartments are very nice and comfortable. I would recommend these apartments to anyone like I have already done. Great staff here and they get stuff done. Very nice community. Office and maintenance staff are amazing. Office accepts and hold packages so they won't be left in hallways by your doors while you are not home. Maintenance respond to work orders in a timely manner. Overall experience has been great.

Community struggles with trash issues. Emergency maintenance was not urgent at all, could not provide any sort of time-line about when they would be out and then had to ask again two days later to get someone scheduled. Other than that, the residents are fine and there have been no other issues. Apartments themselves are good.

Overall my experience here has been good but crime has picked up a little which is sad to see. Trash is always a problem but not much can be done about that.

Lighting is terrible on the FJORD DR side . Both of my cars have been broken in to along with broken windows. I believe because there is NO Lighting in the carport or on this side of the apartments it gives thieves PLENTY of opportunity to break in. Scandia associates are always so eager to take a work order report but do nothing about it The lighting in my car port has a bird nest sitting on it since EARLY this year and the light is out but the bird nest is still there . I am aware that some light post are Scandia and some are owned by the city but Scandia lights and some of the other ones are OUT. FIX the lights , it get dark early now however the sun doesn’t come up till after 7 am which is very dangerous and gives me a sense of negligence as well no sense of protection for your tenants. Scandia fix the lights PLEASE
Easy process, CeCe was amazing. A couple of things were wrong with my apartment on move in day, nothing super major. The essential things work and I’m thankful. Love the penthouse and the space, staff is very friendly.
I’m completely satisfied living at Scandia Apartments, it’s quiet, repairs are completed in a timely manner I’m going on my fourth year. I’m concerned theirs no handicap parking, it’s my understanding it’s the Law!

The apartment overall was nice. The maintenance staff were hit and miss, but overall I had a good experience. My problems began with the office staff. I was forced to extend my lease a handleful of months, due to personal reasons, and informed the staff very specifically when I would be moving out. Apparently this was ignored, as when I tried to speak to the office about my coming move i was informed I had not told them I was leaving and it would be 2.4k to "break my lease". This is despite the fact I informed them 5 months ago exactly when I would be leaving. A fair warning to people who are interested in this property. Absolutely do not trust the office staff, and do not go on month to month under any circumstances. Very very bad experience straining finances for people who are already struggling

I love my apartment..it is so spacious. Neighbors are kind, quiet area, and valet service is definitely a plus. I feel comfortable walking to explore the community and so happy there is a fitness area.
the move in process was smooth, and the apartment was clean before i moved my things in. my only complaint is the blinds not fixed right away, but i trust that it will be done as soon as i submit my move in checklist.
The main complaint that I have about living here is that whenever you put in a service request, it takes them forever to get out. I have had an ongoing issue with my A/C.
My experience here has been cool. Maintenance works pretty fast. Office is understanding and works fasts too. Only complaint is the walls are too thin
The apartment itself is quite nice. Maintenance does get around but not always right away. There isn't too much noise and management is good at communicating what's happening in the community
I’d say I had a great move in experience. The only thing I was hit with is the dirty hall ways and the basic kitchen with limited cabinets. Over all huge apartment and the ladies and the office have been nice.

Scandia isnt terrible for the price. However, trash is always an issue, even with the trash cans provided with door pickup. You can always hear your neighbors and traffic. But the apartment is big and there’s a lot of light
To be honest, the new management with TJ and her team has been amazing. Work orders are now being completed in a timely matter and the property is well maintained. Good work ladies and gentlemen.
Apartment was clean and move in ready. Perfect and convenient location. No issues with appliances, electric, or AC. Trash pickup is super convenient.
Maintenance needs to be more prompt. The new management has made drastic changes with cleaning the community. Newer appliances would be nice but overall a quiet community .
very nice place to live and maintanice is good and fast.The outside light does not work in front of the building.Needs more dog waste baskets and needs work on the landscape and the outsiode of the buildings need paint and needs some work
It’s been good. Only small things have been annoying, but that’s how it is anywhere. For example our fridge light is out and we told them but they haven’t helped in about a month. Other than that it’s been good.
Well thus far, It's been a month already, and they still need to respond quickly to service requests and maintenance concerns. It takes nearly a week to handle a service order. The lobby area requires thorough cleaning.
