The downtown heart of Escondido, Central Escondido, is an artistic blend of historic and new. It’s the location of the city’s oldest park, Grape Day Park, and the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. The brick-paved sidewalks that line Grand Avenue run past a variety of boutiques, gift shops, and bakeries. Maple Street Plaza, located off Grand Avenue, is an esplanade that hosts events. Other great destinations in Central Escondido include the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum and the Escondido History Center, which features a historic Victorian farmhouse complete with weathervane.
Central Escondido extends from Centre City Parkway east to North Juniper Street. You’ll discover ample apartment communities in the neighborhood, along with several bus stops for car-free commutes. I’ve lived at Rowan for just over a year and I am extremely happy. The staff; Will, Isabel, and Alex are friendly, professional, helpful, and reliable. Great amenities; pool, jacuzzi, gym, and lounge room/game room. Even snacks and drinks available in the leasing office daily, fun perk. The property grounds and common areas are kept very clean. The floor plans and apartment sizes are above average. Rowan is a terrific community!

Living at The Rowan has been an incredible experience! My loft-style apartment with 20-foot ceilings is absolutely stunning—bright, open, and beautifully designed. The amenities are top-notch, from the fully equipped gym to the resort-style pool with a Jumbotron, plus a pool table, ping pong, business center, and a stylish event space. Everything is clean, modern, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff truly makes this place feel like home. From the day we applied to now we’ve always been shown such kindness and understand! Brian has great communication and is always professional. He’s helped us the whole time we’ve lived here. The gym is small but very well equipped as well as all the other amenities. Great place to live!

Beautiful place to call home. Great amenities and perks. Unit is equipped with very nice appliances. Leasing office staff are communicative, very courteous and helpful. Maintenance staff take care of any requests large or small very timely.

I love living here, the leasing process was fast and efficient. The leasing agents made it easy for my husband and I to secure our apartment fast and provided us with everything we needed, even help with moving, transferring mail, wifi, etc. Rent is even based on monthly income as well and accommodated to fit your financial status.

I set up my automatic payment for my rent a couple of months ago. Today I get a letter saying I did not pay rent and was threatened to get kicked out. I go to the office and the manager confirmed my automatic payment was set up, but the system messed up and did not process it. I paid, but I was given a $50 late fee and a $65 processing fee for their mess up.

The apartment was great when we moved in. Ray was amazing. The staff was great. They had food trucks come and tried to make it like a community. Now since it has changed companies it is just another over priced place to live with nothing special about it.
Rowen has been an amazing place for my family and I, since it’s increase in residency it’s not as quiet but still nice, just need a little more common courtesy with the noise after hours and definitely the No Smoking Policy especially the Marijuana.
I have very much enjoyed my experience with this community so far. I am new here and look forward to commenting more in the future.
