They switched our appointment time from 11 to 2. We came at the new time and they just didn’t feel like showing us the unit. Asked us to come back 2 hours later so they could finish their lunch. We asked if there was anyone else to show us since we were literally in front of the building. The said no and offered no other options and actually seemed irritated. If they manage the building as well as they lease it I’d avoid Goldrich- Kest.

Great location, but the management, office staff, and maintenance supervisors seem to be ambivalent about the tenants. If you are unhappy and move out, they know someone else will move in. So, why bother? Their philosophy on service requests seems to be if they wait long enough you might fix the problem yourself. Apparently, it’s all about saving money. Management apparently wants the Capri to be the WalMart of Marina apartments. They haven’t washed the windows since December 2016—almost 2 years ago. Since December is the start of the rainy season the windows were clean for only about two weeks. Now the windows are really dirty. Maybe they want each of us to hire our own window washers. My advice: check out some of the newer or renovated apartments in the area. I believe the Capri was built in 2007. It’s showing its age—cracked kitchen counters, warped and stained cork floors in the bathrooms, and sad looking carpets. It can be embarrassing to have friends over. You have to explain the dirty windows and other shortcomings in light of the rent you pay. I’ll be looking for a new place when my lease expires.
This place is terrible. Capri Apartments is miserable do not live here. They will fix nothing. They will Never follow up about fixing anything. All the cameras are broken and stuff gets stolen weekly. The office actually has stolen my belongings and denied it until I called the cops and they were forced to give it back and it happened to be in their storage closet. Their phones go down weekly so you can't can't contact them. The hallways are hotter than the Death Valley. Our AC was broken for 3 of the hottest weeks of the summer in 2016 and it's still not fixed properly because it still doesn't work. Our sink has been dripping since we lived here. I am seriously not making any of this up. Everytime we go to the leasing office they act like we don't know what we are talking about. Then they proceed to not follow up. They once tried to call us once and apparently called the old Tennant from out apartment and they contacted us. They found our number but our own building didn't have it!
Very unprofessional and disrespectful management! We renewed our lease last year. We repeatedly asked for a copy of our lease but never received it. Now, 7 months later after paying rent in full every month, we are told we never signed a lease. I saw the lease yesterday. We did sign it, however, management never signed their part. This is seven months later. There is new paperwork in the lease now that requires additional signatures that we never saw the first time. A man named Malcom called us in a threatening manner saying they will put us on a month to month lease and charge us more for the last 7 months if we don't sign the lease. When I walked into the office to speak to him as he requested, he told me to leave and he locked me out. We don't know where this is coming from. We are the perfect tenants. We pay our rent and don't ask for anything (mainly because they are so difficult). If you rent here, don't leave the office until you have your copy of the lease. Don't expect them to uphold any of their promises. We are not mad, this is just the honest truth.
The key to happiness at the Capri is to keep expectations low. The location is great, the Capri is ordinary. Rents are high because the Capri is in the Marina; it’s not because you are moving into a luxury apartment. In terms of management and services, it’s like you are living in the valley. They clean the windows in October before the rainy season and by May the sliding windows are becoming opaque. I think the carpet in my apartment is original carpet when they built the building. When you request maintenance, they show up the next day, or the next week, or even longer. If you call to follow up on a request, they say “I’ll have to check on the work order”; but they never get back to you regarding what they found.
I called twice and finally someone picked up. The man was rude and didn't know anything about the apartments and left me on hold and never came back.
