The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at River Place Towers
I have been living here only 3 weeks, but I just love it here. My apartment is quiet, which I love, just hop on the elevator to the laundry room, trash recepticals(shoots) on every floor, good security doors. I can do shopping and just load the bags from my car to my cart, and wheel inside to elevator and go up to my floor! Had a few "minor" issues, and maintainence was sent right up, and were fast, friendly and very nice! All in all, I would recommend this place to all my friends, who find themselves living alone after may years of marraige, or whatever your needs may be. Staff (especially Slade) are great!!
I've been here for 5 months, and I think this is a great place. Here's why: 1. The public parts of the building are always spotlessly clean; the hallways, elevators, lobby and gym. 2. The management is very friendly and professional. They have helped me with special requests, but also know how to run this apartment correctly, avoiding nonsense. Top notch. 3. The air system in the halls is powerful and fresh. I never smell anyone's meal or otherwise. Underrated but important. 4. The view out of my window on the 12th floor is spectacular. The Merrimack River is right next door (and there are boats, walkways, people having fun). Beyond are the hills of residential Lowell. 5. The one time I needed maintenance help, 2 great guys showed up to fix my refridgerator. Instead of hanging around working, they wheeled out my fridge and wheeled in a new one so I was good asap. Wow! 6. My neighbors have all been friendly when we've met. 7. Plus the apartment is great, too. Heat/AC system works perfectly, kitchen and bathroom are also perfecto. The towel rack could not stand me pulling on it, though (hey, gotta give you one criticism, don't I?). This is a good place to call home.
Leasing staff are friendly and provide great customer service. Maintenance staff are very responsive to any work order requests. It's near downtown, Mill 5 shopping, festivals and Tsongas Arena. My apartment had a great river view, close to walking trails, and the building had well kept interior/exterior. The gym was a nice bonus. The only downsides were the elevators breakdown frequently, residents tend to set off fire alarms, and their laundry needs an overhaul. Even with these issues, I had a great experience living here overall and also in part because of the excellent customer service that the leasing office staff provided.
There are income limits, so if you're just starting out like me then this is likely your price range. I have a 1br/1ba, about 500sq ft. I'm single with a cat, so it's a good size for me. Pros: Close to highway & downtown area, so there's always something to do; Common areas are kept very clean (I say good morning to the cleaning crew every morning); Quick response time for maintenance; friendly & helpful staff; Security on site; Accepts 1 cat; Trash chute on each floor; Prompt snow removal Cons: Being right next to the Tsongas Center parking garage can get a bit noisey after concerts, but usually is quiet by 11p.m.; Parking can be tricky sometimes, but there are more then enough spots; Walls & ceilings are a bit "thin," but it's easy to fix with plush furnishings Note: There were several (12 break ins over the course of 3-4 months, so renters insurance is a good idea (same with any place) After the police got involved, management was quick to replace and/or add to their security team. MUCH improved!! I rarely saw security before, but now I see a member every night. I can't put this in a pro or con section because although they can't control the break in (con) their response was immediate (pro). Overall: I think this is a decent place to live. I've had minimal problems & the ones I had were quickly resolved. The manager & all the other staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, they remember me which makes me feel wanted rather than just a pay check.
