Rivendell at Edison

We moved into what we thought was a spacious renovated one-bedroom apartment, we paid our rent early every month, and now we are desperate to leave this place. The neighbors are so messy and nosy, there are roaches and other various insects that manage to find their way into the apartment no matter how spotless you keep the place. The pipes leak and so does the roof which resulted in MULTIPLE large water stains. Even the workmanship of the "renovation" is so shoddy the more you live in the space, the more you realize it. The internet is restricted to optimum which SUCKS and is so slow. The only thing we appreciated about this apartment was the in-unit laundry and the dishwasher, but that's hardly anything to be happy about when roaches crawl into everything. Genuinely, if you can live with roaches then you will be fine here. Management tries to address issues, but by doing the bare minimum.

The rent is extremely high for units built in 1986. When I moved in I noted that the wall needed painting, a wall needed spackling for cracks in the wall, and that there were grease stains above my oven. They stopped in to confirm these issues, but never came back to fix it. For what we're paying for rent here, appliances from the 80s just doesn't cut it. That doesn't even begin to talk about how horrific their maintenance department is. I put in a maintenance request for the dishwasher not draining, and after a week of not hearing ANYTHING despite calling and leaving voicemails and talking to someone I finally just took it apart and cleaned it out myself. I am sitting here a week after entering a maintenance request asking to have a broken toilet seat replaced and still having a broken toilet seat. They never show up to do any of the work orders. If you use the website to enter a request they won't even acknowledge that you put in the work order. To top it all off, they're raising the rent unexpectedly and for no reason. Sure it's only a $20 increase, but still, considering it's been over a week and I can't safely use my toilet it's kind of ridiculous. If you try and call the call center to put in a work order, expect to be on hold for at least 20-30 minutes. Don't leave a message: they'll never respond to it. Avoid this place like the plague. They'll take your money and never do any sort of improvements on the property. Find another place. Seriously.

My family and I moved to Rivendell just under a year ago and we love it! It is spacious and clean. We have 2 cars and have no problem finding parking for both. The people here are friendly and the maintenance staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is running smoothly. We love it here and plan on staying a long time.

The is one of the worse properties I've ever lived at. Roaches, low maintenance, neighbors are filthy. Don't move here.

Roaches everywhere . They are gigantic. Mice everywhere.

The houses are filled with mice and roaches. No one is taking care of it irrespective of multiple requests made here. Hence we decided to move out of the community.

They dont change bathroom equipments(tub/toilet bowl/sink) though they are in bad conditions between tenant move. Some kind of stinky smell inside house, bathrooms are horrible. Maintenance does not show time timely manner. No proper communication in case of water outage. Overall its least maintained stinky complex.

Bedroom is full of gaps and outside air is constantly entering through windows, walls, flooring & doors of the house making it even cooler than outside. Even the technician couldn't fix it. I've been following up with management from day 1 that I wish to vacate but no one responds at all. Also, there is mice, roaches everywhere with few snakes spoted in the property. NOT SAFE AT ALL!!

I just moved into Rivendell at Edison. After moving i found out that the dishwater unit is hanging outside, Owen not working, AC is not working at all. The cupboards are broken. Bathroom power outlet has a screw inserted and hanging out and could get shock if i try to use it. How could they even rent the unit before giving it new tenant. Called the maintenance no one picks the calls even after staying for 1 hr on call. Very much disappointed !!!

Large Spacious 3 bedroom, but very bland. Very poorly insulated. Nice sized basement. All wood floors; would be nicer if the bedrooms had carpet.
