Property Ratings at Revere House
I lived here just for one year after moving back to the area and I have nothing but great things to say about this complex, the owner, property manager and all of the other tenants! Owner and property manager were extremely welcoming and accommodating, overall very genuine family that runs the complex and goes above and beyond for all the tenants! Complex itself was very well maintained, owner really takes care of both the inside and outside of the complex. Located in a quiet, safe neighborhood right off of route 31, great location walking distance from Downtown Batavia and the fox river trail, there is a church across the street so you'll frequently hear the church bells in the distance if you leave your windows open which was so peaceful!
I stayed there in 2020. A great apartment with great value. The landlord is very nice and responsive. We had a water leakeage accident and the landlord fixed it very quickly. I had to break the lease earlier than the contract due to a new job in California, and the landlord was very nice and quickly found a new tenant so we don't need to pay the rent until the lease end date. We were not charged for any wear and tear when we moved out.
Lived there for about 9 years. Was there with original owner and stayed when Don took over. Nice guy. Responded to repairs immediately. No issue w not returning calls. Management was close by. When he bought them they were desperately in need of repair, and as people moved on he’d re do the apartment. Eventually ours was the last that needed remodeling, he made us a deal on a newly remodked and helped us move. Never saw a mouse or rat. Had 1 issue w ith bugs- i reported it and exterminator was there the next day. Great location.
Just by reading that last review.... don't believe what you read. I personally was a tenant for 10 years at the Revere House. Don was by far the best landlord I could of ever asked for. Living there was great ?? great neighbors , quite complex.... honesty I really can't complain about anything. Had a great 10 years there and will miss it ??
Don, the owner of these apartments, will take advantage of you, LIED about the applications fee, STOLE FROM US, LIED about the rent and then changed his story when we had a family member inquire for us to help smooth things out. WILL make you wait until the very last possible second to give you any answers, He will have no problem taking your money and never calling you back. This man does not give receipts, He IS A THIEF AND A SCAMMER< unbelievable small man that has a heart of an earthworm and pockets lined with the money of people he takes advantage of. Upon entering the room to view it, there were rat traps all over, the distinct smell of black mold in the air coming especially from the registers that circulate air throughout the entire apartment complex. There are signs of a bug infestation in the cabinets and in the closet corners, seal from the fridge was bitten through by a rodent I'm sure. Absolutely atrocious living conditions, Temporary residence at best, it is no wonder he doesn't offer 6 month leases, He would never be able to keep this place full. The only good thing that I can say about this apartment is that the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor singing in the shower, which is hilarious.
