Recommended place to live The Retreat at Johns Creek is a wholesome place to grow your family. The leasing and maintenance teams are great, they are proactive, listen and addresses concerns. In year 2, now serious “roaches”!!! Children ride bikes through the parking lots, trow sticks & rocks also. The pool, gym & community room are always closed or when open, dirty! Breezeways are always dirty, spider webs trash. Not renewing, its not worth the money!! Current Resident of a 2/2

I usually don't write reviews but since I'm having the worst experience in this apartment I'm writing this in an exhausted level .. In our Initial days in this apt there were cockroaches and we took many steps to eradicate them but now we are used to those roaming in our living area.. Next is the consecutive Pipes breakage and water leakage for every couple of weeks.. And to the top of it is now "RATS" .. Even after many complaints no step is being taken from apartment side and maintenance people are so lethargic ..it's oly the tenants duty to catch those rats and to deal with it.. No support even if it's a risky issue ,poor maintenance with Dogs poop in Kids play area and wat not.. Since one is the least I'm giving one star else minus rating for this worst apartment..

I moved a couple of years back, when they showed the model apartment initially I felt like wow this is the apartment we need to move to. But the day I moved to the actual apartment they were just painting. I thought that is fine. Then the problem started... 1) It is very hard to get the staff on the phone, may take a couple of days to reach them. They have excuses to tell you that they were out to show apartments to clients or busy on the phone with other people. 2) ROACHES ROACHES and ROACHES everywhere. Even after multiple complaints, they will just say schedule for Pest control. We have scheduled more than 10 times but we have now seen 1000 of them every day. With kids, it's hard to live here. 3) The appliances started breaking apart, particularly the sink, dishwasher, and Fridge. Only for the sink, I have more than 15 tickets in 2 years and I still live with the same issue. They won't fix it right. 4) They have replaced my bedroom carpet 2 times because of the AC leakage from the top floors. 5) Because of ROACHES, I have requested them multiple times that at least move us to another apartment that has fewer roaches. They said I need to terminate my agreement and pay the related amount(2 months' rent) and move. previously, I have lived in the apartment for more than 7 years and did not have any single issue. The mistake we made is to move to this apartment. I DON'T RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO MOVE HERE. Particularly with kids. Negative 5 stars may be.

Called Retreat at Johns Creek home for a little over a year. Second week in to the renovated unit my ceiling in the laundry room starts pouring water (Fire sprinkler system busted. Never got told the system was functional again). They cut a whole in the ceiling where the water was spewing and and placed a plastic bag over the area. It remained like that till I vacated. Within two months the ceiling starts dripping again. This time it travels around the fireplace and causes damage to the ceiling because the leak continues for a couple more weeks. Skipping to the end, unit needed constant maintenance (some of which never got resolved), amenities and front gates not always operational, walls super thin and complaints are hardly carried through. In the end had to pay essentially another months rent for repair to the unit when it was hardly repaired upon the start. Lots of paint. Great location. Interesting management and it goes all the way to corporate. Sorry.

I am extremely happy to say that Ms Love resolved my 2 issues on payments so quickly. First one was renters insurance fee which Ms Love reversed on submission of document. Second one was, I had issues on online Rent payment and Ms Love fixed this issue quickly which saved me paying fine. Overall I am happy on the Retreat staffs who takes care of the tenets on their issues.

Do not move in the Retreats at Johns Creek, I rented a unit site unseen (my stupidity) and was told that I was getting a completely newly renovated unit with all the bells and whistles. After traveling 700 miles, I signed my lease and was given key to my unit. Once inside the unit I was totally disappointed and regretted my decision, the molding in the kitchen was worn and falling apart, the tubs were stained and never looked cleaned, the unit smelled moldy, there were roaches, the cabinets in the master bathroom were falling apart, the toilets were rusted and always had a calcium build up and the fireplace never worked. When you called the office, you always got shoved off and nothing every got taken care of. These units are completely over priced and overrated. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES!
DO NOT LIVE HERE. Anyone considering The Retreat at Johns Creek as a living option, please go ahead and re-evaluate. I am a relatively new resident (moved in exactly 1 month ago from today), and my apartment is STILL in pieces. We were promised a move-in ready apartment, but it was far from it. We moved in with nearly half of a kitchen and half of what you would call bathrooms. Many things were missing, not taken care of, sloppily done, etc. We were forced to eat out every day because of the unusable kitchen (aka $$$$$$$). By almost the third week of living here, the guest bathroom toilet STILL had not been fixed, ceiling had not been painted, desks in bedroom and main room had not been updated (which we were promised because we are paying a premium amount), the fan in guest bedroom had not been installed, dishwasher was told to be put at an angle so that it could be opened (I’m not sure if you call that fixing the problem or avoiding it.), cable in main room had not been fixed (Even though we pay $55 a month for cable), master bath dent in the wall had not been fixed, I had not received my mailbox keys, and we STILL had ZERO cabinetry in kitchen and bathrooms! When the cabinets finally came in the third week of me living here, they were done so sloppily that I had to physically un-screw each and every one of them and re-do them myself. We are in month TWO as of today, and I am still living in an unfinished apartment on many levels. Nothing has changed except that I received my mailbox key. I have done everything I can and talked to every person I could to get the ball rolling on all of our issues, but I have gotten absolutely nowhere. This apartment was nothing close to move-in ready, and is completely unacceptable all around. If I were to walk into this apartment on move-in day and it looked how it looks today, I would not have move in. Due to the lack of communication from the property manager, I was forced to get the corporate office involved. I am still where I was a week ago, unfortunately, unsatisfied, annoyed, and acknowledging that this is the worst apartment experience I have ever had (out of 7 different places). This does not even begin to cover the problems I have experienced here, but I do not care to go on. I am writing this to suggest to anyone considering The Retreat as a place to live that they should look else ware if they would like a smooth, livable, and functioning living environment.
