Alton sits 25 miles due north of Downtown Saint Louis, but the city is not easily accessible by interstate. Located a few miles north of where the Missouri and Mississippi rivers converge, Alton plays a prominent role in the Saint Louis area for several reasons. Just a few miles north of the central business district, large limestone bluffs hover over the Mississippi River. Everything was good except not getting the garage I thought I was getting. And having banged up doors. But kitchen is nice and spacious despite the cabinets being scratched up and it is a very spacious area.

The office is only open twice M-F. It would be more convenient to have the local office open M-F. More maintenance workers would also be more convenient so all maintenance requests could be completed within a timely manner. Maintenance could also be more proactive with certain things, such as central air units being replaced instead of continously fixed. The communication among staff could be better too, but I've had generally positive interactions with staff members. The community is well kept, but the dumpsters could use an additional pick up day or perhaps additional dumpsters as it gets filled quickly bringing down the curb appeal of the community.

Well the Kitchen counter is about to fall on to the floor. I'm sure the cabinets under it is all about to fall apart. But it is peaceful and to quiet.

Rent rates are out of control. Air conditioners are old. Mine has gone out at least once each summer for the past 3 years. The office workers did not seem to understand my frustration. The Maintenance guys have always been very friendly and could sympathize. The 2nd floor of the Townhouses don't cool well during the summer. I have talked to other residents and they all say the same. New residents do not care about the community. Trash that can't fit in the dumpsters is set outside the dumpster for days until the next pick.

Horrible transfer to an unfinished apartment. Filthy, had to clean it and fix many broken things. Still waiting on some tickets to be fixed. Do not recommend moving into Renew Alton. It's not worth the rental price and property and rental units are not maintained. Definitely not what they advertised. You'll be disappointed in ReNew Alton.

Roomy apartments. Garages are available. Pool will be opening soon. Nice, updated laundry room. Very close to 255. Yards are mowed every week.

At the building 10 in Alton the area around the garbage containers extremely trashed! The company and their people who are responsible for emptying the containers don’t do a good job and nobody call them about that!

The community is very peaceful and looks to be pretty friendly. It is for the most part pretty clean but some areas could use some maintenance work as well as a little clean up. The staff is very friendly and understanding. The children in the community seem to all get along well but should be more careful and cautious while riding their bikes through the complex. So far I’m likely the community and think it will be a good fit for me and my family.

We took a few weeks to move out. My daughter moved back to our house during the move out process in that time several items went missing from her apartment.

Great Location and that is it. Inside of units need updates but not at the cost of raising rent. Every yearly lease renewal includes a rent increase. Rent is too high. Been a resident since 2019 and rent has increased steadily year over year. I currently pay $265 more from the original amount with zero updates. I've seen a couple of the so called "UPDATED" units. It is not worth the rent they are asking for. They do not value residents that have lived in the complex numerous years with any type of loyalty/appreciation discount like the previous owners would pass along.

Renew Alton is a great community, far enough from the noise but close to the highway to get to anywhere you need to go! I’ve enjoyed my 3 years living here and recommend! Rent is affordable and spaces are good for the price.

I've only just moved in a week ago so my experience is limited. I wasn't happy with the state of the unit upon moving in. It was dirty, clogged toilet w/ paper in it, missing trim, and the paint was just spot touched up and I swear that I can see every spot they touched up. Just for the amount of rent, they could have painted the whole wall. They have fixed most of the issues but I guess I'll be stuck w/ the paint.

Its been great! It is a pretty quiet area with a lot of nice people. Its close to a gas station and 255 which makes it very easy to get anywhere. And the pool is amazing.

The move-in process was easy and convenient. I was guided through the process and my questions were answered in a timely manner. After moving in, I did notice the apartment could have used some more repairs/cleaning. For example, a door needs replaced, there are some rips in some of the screens for the windows, the smoke detector batteries started beeping shortly after move in, and although the floors were cleaned - there was a lot of built up dirt and grim I had to hand scrub to get up. All in all though, not bad but that's why I gave it 4 starts instead of 5. The outside is very beautiful and clean as well as the landscaping.

Fast and easy move in! Seems quiet so far. Apartment was pretty clean when I moved in. Some of the appliances look a little worn but that’s about it.

I’m leaving after ten years at river reach in Alton ! I have had nothing but bad experiences since the place went corporate! We have lost so many long time residents! If you want your rent to continuously go up , and not be able to use the pool , the washing machines, have cabinets fall off the wall, have to evacuate during heat warnings bc nobody will fix your air bc it’s a holiday, not having maintence men for long periods , not being able to talk to anyone that knows what’s going on, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Not to mention drug deals, break ins etc etc etc !

A lovely townhome community! Our townhouse is very nice and spacious. Maintenance is always helpful and on top of things. It’s a great place to rent, and they do a good job keeping the community clean.

Pool does not work and hasn't worked for 3 years and it does not have a pump or filtering system. Summer of 2023 the pool was opened, not maintained, with no working pump, jets or filtering systems and to compensate for lack of filter over chemical processes was used cause skin, hair and eye irritation and damage. Pool was closed on all holidays weekends due to maintenance and no work was done. Huge disappointment and flase advertising. The pool area is also not handicap assessable. The laundry facilities do not work and are not handicap accessible anymore due to the new locking mechanism. Yet there are handicapped units and parking spots. The facilities are covered in trash and dog waste and vomit. They do not fix or replace anything with new appliances. Units have not been remodeled even though they claimed they are newly remodeled and have renamed the units. They do not replace flooring/carpet after tenants move. Units are not ready by move in date nor are they clean. They rasie rent evey year by $100-$200 increases. They are grossly over priced based on value. They take months to refund your deposit and must be threatened with legal action vefor they refund. RENEW is the worst management company property owners beware of this company before you use them. They take months to fix your unit and the fixes do not last and they blame their vendors for the bad repairs.

Great clean and quiet community. Everyone has been very helpful when there is an issue. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. Laundry can sometimes be a pain with having to pay each time but not the worst thing. Great outdoors for dogs too.

Like living here the only thing I have a problem with is people parking in handicap parking spots that do not have the proper tag. Signs say will tow but nothing is ever done.

The community in Alton is quiet and relatively clean and peaceful, however there are a few small things that if not handled will turn into bigger things. Like for instance, when the landscaping company comes and mows, they do not pick up trash but instead mows over things and turns one small piece of trash into many scattered items and looks awful. They also leave ruts from their heavy mowing equipment and the lawn has rows of uneven terrain from the tracks now which is very noticeable. Bag worms have invaded and are destroying the bushes, and all the evergreens are being destroyed. If you have experienced a bag worm invasion than you know they also stink really bad and spread like wildfire to surrounding bushes. The community laundry room is always filthy, stinky and full of trash not maintained. The pool has had issues over the years and tis past year was only open for a few months. Overall, compared to what your paying for, its mediocre and slightly overpriced.

Nice, quite complex. Neighbors are all friendly. Staff is generally pleasant. Need to hire more maintenance people to respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. Other than that, things are generally fine here for a no frills apartment complex.
