I moved here July 2019 and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this complex. The bad reviews happened due to some unruly college students that leased a building over a year ago. After the students were evicted all the problems disappeared. I stay on the 4th floor with a spectacular view of the Hampton Coliseum and I-64. I have vaulted ceilings in my apartment and a sunroom. My floor plan is one of the rare apartments that becomes available because it is that wonderful. Leasing staff is friendly and know me by name. Maintenance issues are handled promptly and efficiently. Lease here you won’t be disappointed!

This community has potential but lacks at providing an atmosphere for families and working people. The residents has no respect for neighbors around them. I hear bumbing, stomping, and loud talking all day rather or not it's a workday or weekend. We try and report it to the front office and they tell us to call security (outside company). That usually leads to a dead end or they show hours later. I ask if I could move to a different apartment within the community and they tell me that I have to pay a $300 transfer fee. It is not fair that I have to deal with these disturbances or be forced to pay a fee in order to move. Also, they have a contract with a college that allows their students to leave here and that has to be the worse decision possible. The smell of marijuana can be noticed outside the property sometimes and inside it is ridiculous. It is best that you all find another complex to live because this one is not worth the money, distribution nor lack of sleep.
The apartment itself is nice and looks new, but we can hear all of our neighbors’ activities and they can hear ours as well. The appliances are new and stainless-steel, but of the cheapest version. The tenants are now mostly students and it feels like a dorm room populated by people intermittently playing beer-pong and smoking weed outside of the clubhouse and through the complex, while attending large parties at the grill outside. But at least in a dorm room there are rules and punishments, Pinnacle allows you to do anything as long as you pay rent! The employees at the office are a revolving door of people that are constantly changing, which shows in the service provided.
To preface: I have lived in apartments most of my life and have NEVER had to call to complain or break a lease because I was so unhappy. Unfortunately, Pinnacle Apartments were so terrible that we were forced to leave. This has also been the most expensive apartment I have lived in as we are paying $1400 for a “luxury apartment” but receiving sub-par service with management and employees that could not care less about our experience. We have appropriately and timely communicated all of our ongoing issues, and have never been late on rent, though management keeps on ignoring us. We believe that we have upheld our part of the lease but unfortunately Pinnacle has not. Frankly, we were promised a luxury apartment and we consistently paid for that kind of living, though the real outcome didn’t match the initial higher-expectations, and thus we never received or experienced that kind of product and now have no choice but to pay the steep price to break the lease.
The apartment community has a policy set that if your vehicle has expired inspection tags or etc that you are given a 24 hour notice. Well one day my car got towed with out a notice. The office didn't even know who the their community contracted to do their towing services at first. They also weren't aware of the 24 hour notice policy until I wrote a bad review on yelp & google and someone by the name of Liz with their company wrote me back telling me I was supposed to get a 24 hour notice. She also provided me with an email address bonaventurecares@bonaventure.com but when I wrote them I got a response back stating this was not a valid email address. I've called and left her a voicemail. I've also left a message and emailed the regional manager Lindsey on 10/12/17. I have not hear anything yet and I'll update this if they ever contact me. The apartment manager only cared after my review. They sent me a bottle of wine and a card apologizing for the interaction on Saturday yet no-one has refunded me the money I had to pay to get a vehicle that should never have been towed in the first place. Then they had the nerves to claim they left me a notice on Friday the night before my car was taken but the problem with that lie is that I did not come home until 11:30pm that night. IF they even left a notice it would've only been up there for 4-5 hours not the 24 hours and also THERE WAS NO NOTE. Don't waste your hard earned money here. I know plenty of residents here who are upset about their decision for a lot of other reasons as well.
