Property Ratings at Pine Brook Village
I'm not a tenant but I visit someone who lives there and I can tell you that the units are in desperate need of remodeling. The hallways leading to the apartments have dirty carpet and dirty walls. Throughout the complex it smells like weed. When i visit the smell comes into his apartment all the time. There are shady people that live there and I don't feel safe visiting. The garbage dumpsters are always overflowing and there is never any visitor parking so you are forced to park on the street and risk getting a ticket for illegal parking. Walls are thin and you can hear lots of noise from the other tenants. He said the rent is not cheap anymore, it goes up every year and they won't remodel or make minor repairs. This place is falling apart fast, it looks like it is from the 1970s.
Great price for the space given. Extra large living room and bedrooms. Units are outdated, but still worth the value. All units have balconies, which is a big plus. Complex is a short walk to Main Street in Islip. Loved the apartment, but the staff lacked in their department. The complex has TONS of kids and therefore often trash and toys were left in the courtyard, and the staff and/or parents just left it there!! It got to noisy for us after two years and we had to leave sadly. But it was definitely worth the rent!
