The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Parkwood Terrace
I’m writing this complaint in regards to my brother and sister in law. They are currently residing at the Parkwood Terrace apartments in Bremerton paying $1500 a month. In the last year and a couple months that they have resided there, the neighbors above them shot a bullet shot through their ceiling. The bullet went through the ceiling and then went through the center of their roommate’s bed. Just moments after she got up for dinner. Their car had been vandalized a month after they got it leaving a big dent in their quarter panel. The apartment is infested with black mold, they complained about it to the manager a couple months after they moved in. The manager had maintenance come in and paint over it telling them that it was fixed. In the kids bedroom there is black mold all along the exterior wall and in the closet. It was on their toys, clothes and had started to grow on their bunk beds. The exterior wall is leaking water from the rain onto the floor. The black mold has affected everyone’s health including the four year old twins. They have all been coughing, experiencing headaches, and chronic fatigue. They are now trying to move out do to these circumstances, in order for them to move out of the apartment the management wants them to pay $2650.00. These are some of the other circumstances that have helped them decide to move. The manager did not fix the problem but instead only covered up the mold problem, when they asked the apartment manager about them repairing the hole in the ceiling the apartment manager said “I don’t know what you are talking about it’s not in your file.” Even though they have a case number from the police department. Considering how inhabitable this apartment is we all feel that there shouldn’t be a fee to cancel their lease. We are contacting the health department and a lawyer to try to resolve this issue.
