A quintessential military town, the community of Lexington Park grew up around Patuxent Naval Air Station shortly after the base was established in the 1940s. Today, the base employs around 20,000 people, most of whom live in Lexington Park or nearby, making the military a major economic and cultural driver for the area.
The landscape is mostly filled by suburban-style neighborhoods, with a rental market including apartments and houses of every shape and size. A few shopping centers scattered throughout the community cater to the residents’ day-to-day needs, mostly located along Three Notch Road and Great Mills Road.
Outdoorsy types will love the easy access to Saint Mary’s State Park, and the close proximity to Chesapeake Bay opens up endless opportunities for boating and fishing.

Been here almost 3 years. In that time I’ve had no AC for 8 months, had a constant leak for the entirely of the time here. Currently have a huge hole above my shower that’s been here for months with no hope in them trying to help me to repair it. Done everything I can to try and sort things out and just get my apartment into just not having issues but I almost never have had that in my time here. Quality of living has fallen so down and I really feel defeated in trying to just not have glaring problems resolved.
Excellent tucked away apartment complex. Strong value of quality of living.

Absolutely beautiful apartments. They are very large and well-designed. I have lived here almost 3 years and plan on staying longer! Gorgeous apartments, great management and staff, lovely area... it is THE place to rent in St. Marys County!!

Park Villas is a decent apartment complex that lacks many modern amenities due to its older buildings and apartment rooms. The community is great with a pet-friendly environment and reasonable quiet day-to-day life since it is away from the main road. However, the cost of rent is higher than some other places and you pay for every utility in the book: trash/recycling, water, sewer, electricity, internet, gas, etc. This is compounded by the requirement of renter's insurance makes Park Villas a costly place to live relative to the features it provides. Older appliances are functional but might not be as energy efficient or look as modern compared to those of other apartment complexes. Move-in and move-outs are difficult due to the lack of an elevator in the buildings and it hurts to see delivery drivers have to climb up 3 flights of stairs to deliver (sometimes bulky) packages. Birds, hornets, spiders, and other insects to live in or on the support structures of the buildings which is not the best. However, the maintanence team and the office staff are nice, reliable people but the office hours are not great as they are not open on the weekends. Parking is open and first-come-first-served style which is great for vistors and there seems to always be space open. The office is lenient on parking so there is basically no towing required unless guests severely overstays their welcome. Park Villas is also located near several supermarkets and many restaurants and fast food which is nice.

NOT what you think about anything in Lexington park. Very friendly, clean and well maintained. Staff are all great right down to maintance.

I like the lay out of the 2 bedroom apartments; and also the open area of the kitchen/dining/living room area. All around, very nice apartments.
Very trustworthy and considerate. I'd trust the staff to work on my car or teeth if it was an offered service.
Great ppl e to live. Gym on site. Maintenance is very fast and efficient to respond. Great quality service. All done in a timely manner. Recommended
I am very pleased with Park Villas. The apartment complex is really isolated and quiet. There are nice amenities and a nice overall landscape to walk around.

Park Villas has been the perfect place for me!! Its very close to work and everything else I need. The location is perfect because its not easily seen which makes it a safer community. The staff are very courteous and always willing to help. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new place to call home!!

Good area, tucked away, quiet, the staff does resident engagement activities, they communicate any news or info pretty well, friendly. A little surprised by the rent increase though..
Park Villas Apartments is a pleasant community. The amenities are above average and updated (the gym looks brand new). The staff is honest. Communication is responsive (email, online, phone) and my maintenance calls have all been handled promptly. The location is nice too because its easy to navigate around the rush hour traffic.
Application process was super easy. When we moved in, the apartment was super clean with new carpet. The office staff were always nice and helpful. Neighbors were quiet and the apartment grounds were always kept clean. We enjoyed staying here and I’m sure you will too. If we’re ever back in Southern Maryland, were staying at Park Villas.
Park Villas has been a great community to have recently moved into. It is quiet, well-maintained and very friendly. There is even a dog park nearby.
My experience with Park Villas @ Lexington Park, Md. was indeed outstanding. I was pleased with every aspect of moving in. The staff were the best. Friendly, professional and efficient. Things could not have gone better.

I’m relocating to the area and I saw Park Villas online. They had one apartment available so I put in an application Friday night to hold the apartment. However, after researching the property and reading more reviews online, I decided I did not want to live there due to the references of locals hanging around and the property not being safe. I called first thing Saturday morning and spoke to the leasing agent and she said they would not refund the $200 administrative fee. I understand not refunding the $50 application fee, but what could possibly constitute the $200 admin fee? It had only been a few hours since I applied. I asked to talk to a manager but have not received any response. Avoid this place!!

I have live here for a long time, first as a newlywed, and now I have kids. We were surprised how quiet it is, being in the Lexington Park area. It is tucked away nicely between U-Haul and a school. There are plenty of parking spaces and a common area with grills for cookouts. The staff are great, and they go beyond to provide community activities such as parties and contests. The maintenance staff responds quickly, and they do a good job. I am impressed with how they handle any snow we get, making it easy to maneuver in and out of the complex. We are happy, and we hope you will be, too!
Great models , quiet , Clean , and friendly development
Me and my girlfriend were looking everywhere for an apartment and we couldn't find one that had everything we were looking for. Then someone reffered us to Lexington park and park villa was the first place we busted out of about 3-4. We immediately fell in love. It's close to everything, quiet and peaceful. Our neighbors are nice, staff is very nice and extremely helpful. We couldn't ask for more.
I have lived at park villas apartments for a year now and it’s been great. What little issues that I have had so far like a dryer squeaking to a dish washer leaking, has been fixed right away. The onsite maintenance crew is fast and does a great job. The ladies at the front office are nice and happy to help you with anything you have. It is great to have the office onsite because I order a lot of stuff but not always home to meet the mailman, so they will keep it at the front office for you to pick up after work. I haven’t had any issues with other tenant everyone is pretty nice and courteous. I also like to have a clean car and it’s great that they has a spot with a hose so you can do so and not have to worry about going out in town to pay. My overall experience so far has been nothing less than great and I refer all my friends to park villas apartments when they are looking for a nice place to live.
Park Villas is the best, anytime I have ever needed anything they are right on it. The customer service is very good. The people are very pleasant and the neighborhood is quiet. I love it! I have been here over 2 years and they made my stay feel wonderful.
Problem with cigarette smoke smell from previous occupant and front door seal letting bugs come into the apartment. Staff seem diligent so far and trying to fix the issues. Acceptable for the price as long as these two main issues get resolved.
