Located about six miles west of Downtown Minneapolis, Eliot is a suburban neighborhood surrounded by plenty of amenities. Along with several neighborhood parks with ponds, Eliot residents have access to multiple golf courses and natural areas nearby. Spend a day on the green at the Minneapolis Golf Club or explore Westwood Hills Nature Center, a 160-acre park. During the summers, residents cool off at one of the many waterfront parks and lakes like Cedar Lake Point Beach, which has several beaches, lakes, and trails. This convenient locale is located just two miles west of the Shops at West End, a high-end alfresco mall with vibrant restaurants and bars. Along with being a few minutes from downtown, Eliot is only nine miles from the University of Minnesota. I have been a current resident for about a year now and I couldn't be happier! The building is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but still is minutes from restaurants, shops and nightlife along with easy access to the highway. Like walk in closets? Then search no further! HUGE and spacious along with the whole apartment home! If you are looking for location, space, everything in between then you have found a great building in St. Louis Park!
Zach the property manager is stellar, always helpful and very knowledgeable. The apartment itself is just....okay. The pool area is nice but only for part of the day because the trees tower over the sunlight. The new weight area is nice but for a taller guy like me (6 foot 3) you can't do any lifts over your head with free weights that only go up to 50 lbs. The hallways have a constant smell of curry and the garbage chute is clogged a lot. The 3 bedroom apartment itself is alright, if you are the guy with the master bedroom, it has great closet space. The other 2 rooms aren't that big and have small closet space. It is very affordable though, at $1605 for a 3 bedroom ($535 per roommate) it isn't bad at all. They include water, trash, sewer, and heat which is nice. For guys out of college for a year or two this is not bad, for someone who is looking for something nicer with a better weight room, nice common areas, or a better pool area, with cleaner hallways, chose elsewhere. The common areas have to be rented out which is a pain because for a pool table and a TV i could go down the street to the bar and not have to put down a $500 security deposit. I do have to say that Zach (property manager) does keep his maintenance team up to par with quick response times.
