Ocean 650

Because the building management issues were so bad for so long and Greystar did not provide a remedy, I am reluctant to recommend the building. We were treated as if we were snowflakes and essentially gaslighted. We're taking a wait-and-see stance, observing how new management fixes the problems left behind by the last unpleasant regime. We like the work done by Kim and Mike, so I anticipate that things will improve.

The service I received from Kim was exceptional since my arrival in May 2024, and I had a smooth transaction in November. She has gone above and beyond to help and assist me whenever I asked. Kevin has also done a good job fixing my broken items. Overall, the staff is friendly, the place is kept clean most of the time, and they are accommodating regarding security.

Terrible living conditions. My apartment became infested with flies despite all windows and doors being closed. Repeatedly contacted the leasing office, and provided photos, but no action was taken. I’ve been dealing with severe distress, and the leasing office refused to let me terminate my lease without penalty, despite failing to resolve the issue. They even entered my apartment without permission. Completely unprofessional and unsafe. Avoid this place.

I moved from CA to MA and rented this apartment sight unseen. Best decision ever! I love it here! Everything is clean, management very responsive and maintenance is the best! Being across the street from the beach doesn't hurt either!

I have lived here at Ocean 650 since February 2021 and I am so happy here. The amenities are great, and the location is AMAZING? I feel really safe here as well. Love my home.

I recently relocated from CA to MA. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Everyone, staff and residents alike, are so nice, friendly and helpful. What an awesome change from CA. I am so glad I found this place. I'm enjoying my time living at Ocean 650. I toured quite a few buildings on Ocean Ave and this was the only building that provided all the amenities I desired (Balcony, tub, W/D, etc.) The building is clean and the community is friendly. They have a nice size gym, co-working pods, and community events. It's winter now, but I can't wait until summer to take advantage of the roof deck, pool, and also its right across the street from the beach. Can't beat the location!

I am happy to living here, especially events here are great and Ethan doing great work on everything.

The building is beautiful at the face level and the location is great right by the blue line but that is where the positives seem to stop. The building was built so cheap and quickly that the walls and floors are paper thin and flooding has been a reoccurring issue (note recently it hasn’t so maybe this is finally fixed? I don’t want to jinx it) the management despite responding fast and being friendly really does nothing. The reported emails about not leaving garbage in the garbage room instead of putting in a chute have gone unanswered along with the package emails where now mail is piled up to the ceiling making it hard for someone actually trying to get their package to be able to get it. I regret calling this place home.

Would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND given the leasing and management experience so far.

I've lived at 650 Ocean Avenue for the past 5 years and love everything about it -- the modern building, my ocean view, friendly neighbors & pets, plus the excellent staff service. I recommend it highly.

I recently moved into Ocean 650 and could not be more pleased. The building is well maintained, has great amenities, is very pet friendly, and the staff is responsive and friendly.

I have lived all over the country and traveled across the world. But the level of comfort, safety, and service here are above and beyond most anywhere else. So happy — and lucky — that this place is my new home!

The apartment is really smelly like pee all the time and more than once I saw mice in the garbage rooms. I am constantly letting management know this but they haven’t done anything so far. Other than that, great views of the ocean.

I LOVED the apt location, but I had so many issues with the management team over the years that I sincerely don't think it's worth living here. Firstly, the neighbors are EXTREMELY loud in this apt complex. I went to management to raise concerns of loud noise levels during the weekday work hours (as I work from home) MULTIPLE times, but in the end, nothing was done and I was forced to resolve the issue on my own. I bought a $800 stereo system + headphones to block out noise but STILL I am able to hear my neighbors. Besides the noise levels, I would say that my next concern is the cleanliness and physical state of the apt complex itself. There is a constant smell in the hallways, elevators, and parking garage! When I first moved in, I had no issues with the apt, but I feel like as more people move in, the maintenance has gotten worse and management is doing very little about it. I've lived at Ocean 650 for 2 years but now they are increasing my rent to an exponential degree, while continuing to disregard my emails, and not showing any promise of improving the apt complex itself. I am quite disappointed at the management's regression, which is why I am leaving a 2 star review. Sincerely, A disappointed tenant

I usually don't write online reviews, but the experience I had with Ocean 650 apartments was so terrible and unpleasant that I had to say something! My upstairs neighbor has 2 big dogs, and while they make a lot of noise (running around, barking), I can usually tolerate them because I too love animals. However, one day, I noticed a puddle of urine outside on my balcony, and I could see the drips coming from the upstairs balcony. When I raised complaints to management about my balcony smelling like pee, they did not take any actions to help me out and simply emailed me back with no helpful advice. 2 weeks later, the same thing happened- another pee puddle coming from the upstairs balcony!!! I reached out to Bailey Goulding, the manager, for a second time, and again, she responded but TOOK NO ACTIONS. I then started to notice that the hallways and lobby areas also had a constant, strong smell of pee- especially in the summer- and when I raised this public concern to mgmt, again, all I received was an email saying "we're sorry you feel this way..." but NOTHING had been done to get rid of the smell or assuage my concerns. And finally, I have had to place multiple maintenance requests (ex: my hot water was not functioning for 2 months even though I was paying my bills with National Grid; unit needed a filter replacement; constant electrical issues) almost as soon as I moved into the apt. Not only did mgmt take longer than usual to get back to me (4-5 days for a response), but they also CHARGED MY ACCOUNT for these maintenance fixes. (I eventually spoke with mgmt to clear these charges, but if I had not reviewed my rent charges for that month, I would have paid extra for what should have been FREE services!) I am tired of living here. The view for the ocean is amazing, but it is not worth the hassle of living under such terrible and rude management. It is clear mgmt, in particular, Bailey Goulding, does NOT care about our happiness- they will only pay attention to you when it is time to pay rent.

Ocean 650 is a delightful place to call home. It is convenient to the T, it has excellent views of the ocean and you can see the Boston skyline in the distance. I was impressed with the professionalism of the leasing office. The apartments are efficient and comfortable. I am glad I have the opportunity to live here.

Ocean 650 has succeeded my expectations by far, the building is gorgeous and upkept beautifully. The staff is incredibly nice and very helpful with anything I need. I want to give a special shout out to Justin for making this the best moving experience I've ever had. He goes above and beyond and those are just qualities that are very noticeable. Very communicative and very kind.

Living at Ocean 650 has been a wonderful experience. I've been at this property since 2017, moving in months after construction was completed. The property management team is great and very responsive and the property itself is beautiful. The area is being built up really quickly, there are a ton of new, really great restaurants that are within walking distance, and the MBTA is just steps away. On top of everything else the beach is across the street and we have the best view of everything from the rooftop deck!

Ocean 650 is a stylish beachy themed apartment located right in Revere beach. With a pool, rooftop lounge, and large common area there isnt much to complain about. The gym is lacking in some areas but is kept nice and clean and maintained well (even if some equipment seems to disappear over time). Management is very friendly and are willing to work to solve any problems that arise. Our 1 bedroom apartment is very nice and has everything my wife and I need including plenty of storage. Theres nothing quite like falling asleep and waking up in the morning to the sound of the ocean waves and after two years it hasnt gotten old.

Ive been told multiple times the weed smell nobody could do anything about and the lack of mask enforcement is plain crazy. Parking is a joke and so is the amenities and pet friendly

Nearing my 3rd year at Ocean 650. It is a great location, well maintained, and with staff who work hard to maintain the high quality living standards. The facilities and grounds are amazing, and very pet friendly. Lots of social events on the amazing roof deck overlooking the ocean.

I have lived at 650 Ocean Ave since 2017 and have loved it every day. The views from every floor, balcony, and window are wonderful and allow me to enjoy things like the 4th of July fireworks from the comfort of my own home without missing out and not enduring traffic or crowds. The beach is literally just steps away as is the blue line into the city. Revere is building up and there are great restaurants everywhere just minutes away, and the overall community is great.

I've reached out about getting my deposit back and it's been so much trouble. Others have had the same issue. Please be better.

I have lived at Ocean 650 since 2017, shortly after construction was completed, and have been the only person in my current apartment. I love it here and find both my neighbors and the management to be friendly and respectful. I would recommend anyone to move here (and in fact have recommended every friend I have who was in the process of moving to give this property serious consideration). We are on the beach, close to Kelly's Roast Beef down one direction and Twist and Shake in the other. Our property is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Wonderland T stop (depending on how long your legs are), and there are two new, tremendous restaurants that opened up at 500 Ocean Ave that have great food rivaled only by the spectacular ocean view.

I've barely lived here a month, but Ocean 650 has been amazing so far. I love my studio apartment and watching the sunset from the large windows. In the morning, I like to walk along the beach and watch the sun rise. The apartment staff is the best here and I absolutely love living here so far.

There is no more dog park as orginally expected. Don't plan on using the front access or second floor loby or you will be locked put of your home.

Wish I didn't have to write this to be honest. The people in charge barely reply. The front desk workers are dismissive and give vague answers. Other renters do not pick up after themselves.

This building is constantly flooding. It’s like having a personal water park! Alarms blare at the lovely hours of 3am forcing you and your loved ones to wait outside in the freezing cold. Luckily it’s spring now! Since the clocks have skipped an hour, we can now wake up to 4am alarms and wait outside in decently mild weather which is a plus! It’s awesome that they’re making sure we get up bright and early! It’s lovely here, we’re never gonna move since this building has it’s own personal alarm clock and water park! (:

I can’t handle the lack of management anymore. Out of all the apartments I have lived in this one is the worst. Management does absolutely nothing. Amenities are horrible. Washing machine is so loud it keeps you up at night. Barely any warm water during the winters, so hope you enjoy cold showers. They even took our door mats and shoe racks away because it was a “fire hazard.” I don’t think I’ve ever lived in a building where a tiny mat counts as a fire hazard. The neighbors above me are always playing Bachata music at 3 in the morning and fire alarms go off all the time due to people’s bad cooking. So you’re forced to stay outside no matter how cold it is. It happened about 2 times last November. I’d highly recommend to stay away.

Ocean 650 is an amazing place to live, since moving here my day to day workload has decreased because of the help the space provides.
