Enjoy all that downtown Philadelphia has to offer combined with the suburban feel of Northeast Philadelphia in Oxford Circle-Castor. This neighborhood lies just 10 miles north of the city center, but locals don't have to make the trek to South Street to experience the real Philadelphia.
Once you find a rental property, get ready to explore the area. First, meander down Castor Avenue. Here, you can essentially eat your way around the world with Mexican cuisine at Tio Pepe, Colombian at On Charcoal, and Chinese at China City. If you're still hungry, pick up some more groceries at Save-A-Lot.
Don't forget to take some time to unwind at Max Myers Recreation Center. This huge complex houses a pool, playground, ball fields, and tennis courts.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Oakland Terrace Apartments
I moved into Oakland terrace in 2022 with my now ex. It had all the features I was looking for washer dryer dishwasher wasn’t super far from work. Look beautiful very spacious. The apartment is perfect for little family’s and just starting out. Maintenance always is super fast Mario is amazing super nice, we had Marc originally as the leasing office manager when moved there and he was nothing but kind and funny than it switched over to another amazing management simcha. Any issues we had was always super fast dealt with and they worked there hardest to resolve issues that lasted a bit that we had. Unfortunately I had to move out because my ex broke up with me 3 months into moving here. And my goal is to come back because I didn’t realize how much of a blessing oakland terrace was and is. My new apartment is still Philly but it’s awful and I really hope I can come back to this place

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a positive review! At Oakland Terrace Apartments, we strive to provide the best possible service to all our valued residents and so appreciate the feedback! We wish you all the best in your new home! Oakland Terrace Management
First year of moving in we had a storm which flooded the apartment 3 times before being fixed. Try contacting the landlord about the ongoing rot from the flood but refused to get back to us. Poor ventilation unless you live on the higher floors. Building is infested with roaches, flies, termites and other bugs and they hardly get back to you unless they ask about rent being due.
I’ve been trying to call this property for 3 days and nobody never answered or called me back even though I left messages in their mailbox. I was at their location two times at their office hours, but nobody was there. That’s not serious.
