Nestled in Bexar County is the quiet city of Shavano, located just 14 miles northwest of San Antonio. Property Ratings at NOVA
I'm nearing the end of my time at Nova and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience overall. Over the course of my time here, I have seen them revitalize a large amount of things across the complex, ranging from the club house, main pool area, asphalt, landscaping, and parking. It is by no means a perfect apartment complex, but they arguably did a better job than most other places I've been to. I think most of the time, there's frustration among tenants regarding repair/maintenance requests, leasing office communication, general safety, pests, and neighbor disputes; I can honestly say I've never had much of an issue with any of these. The most annoying thing to me was probably adjusting to the new parking system when it was first introduced, but it has gotten a lot better over time. For the location and for the quality of the apartment itself, I think the pricing was relatively fair. If you are looking for a reasonable place to live, I'd recommend giving this place a chance!
It has been a great experience living here at nova apartments. Such a classic apartments and great services from the property resources. Cant beat services.

Its been a couple of good years here. Only had one issue since living here, and that was having my car towed. Maintenance is excellent. Its actually a good community to walk around. The location is very convenient.

Maintenance could be a little better and towing is somewhat an inconvenience, but overall great property. Good privacy and quiet amongst neighbors. Property very safe.

Although finding this place was relatively easy, once approved, which was insanely also, "fast & furious," could either sway, or disprove your ability to reside in this residence. I happen to make almost 100k a year, but mu credit after my divorce continues to placate me in any venture I follow, or attempt. My point is this, unless you have a MASSIVE amount of financial backing, you wont be able to afford this residence. Forget about having a pet, as this will cost you everything per month, and registration for said pet, is $400.00 down payment, are additionally, 35.00 every month. Concierge service; another fee of 25.00 a month for someone to take out trash. Enough said.

Luxury apartments that seems to be quite. Love the nature around it and people walking their dogs. Very spacious and nice. Parking could be better but it’s common

I love the community here. Everyone is very nice and neighborly. I have really enjoyed living here so far. The front office is also really helpful as well.

So far it's been great. The gated community is wonderful, my neighbors are kind and quiet, and the apartments are clean. The only issue is that we've been waiting for cabinets since we moved in, and maintenance has yet to reply. Additionally, valet trash never seems to take our trash despite following the rules, but that's okay.

Having been a resident here for a few years, I am now anticipating my departure. While I cherish this community - the complex, the grounds, & my apartment itself - I am ready to move on. Cars have been broken into multiple times, and most recently, my car was left on bricks just 30 feet from my patio. Lawman who are supposed to patrol the area are rarely seen, rendering their presence pointless. A neighbor's car was stolen from the same parking area. There is a large light in the back that has not been fixed, which could potentially deter such incidents if it were operational. The valet service is laughable. I would suggest emailing the staff, calling is pointless. The maintenance crew here is incredibly friendly and helpful. We only recently encountered some difficulties in getting work done. On the bright side, the complex is generally quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is great. The neighbors are pleasant

never had a bad experience here, the neighborhood is quite, the rim is close by, and everyone minds their business. The amenities are great.
Here at Nova Apartments, It feels like a genuine community. It feels safe to come to on a rainy day. The staff team do a great job at what they do!
overall nice complex with responsive maintenance and friendly front office staff. rent keeps increasing, probably like everywhere else - which should be a crime. location has sucked because of the endless construction and closures on 1604/10, has made it hard to enter and exit due to traffic. they pay for pet waste pickup which is incredible. unfortunately people throw their trash around, probably because they themselves are trash.
This is my first ever apartment and honestly I love it here. I love how accessible everything is, the layout of the land, how spacious the studio apartments are, and how conveniently located the place is to everything. Leasing office is very kind and always there for assistance. Sure, issues will arise but that's everywhere. Genuinely this place has been the best first apartment place and I'm glad I chose to move in here.
Convenient location, building and floor plan layouts. Friendly staff with prompt services. Easy payment methods. Option for electric vehicle charging. Two very nice pools. Plentiful parking. Fun community activities for residents to attend. Overall great place!
We have enjoyed living here. The units are large and we love having 2 balconies. We also love having an attached garage. I don't love the rocks that have been added to the landscape. It makes the property less attractive
They are some positives. Location is great, pool, clubhouse gym are well maintained. Maintenance is good. Problem is the valet garage, they rarely pick up the garbage yet I pay, the fetch I do not use yet I pay. Both top residents off

I love this where I am at right now! I have a free gym and that made it very easy for me to change my daily routine. The area is amazing lots of space to walk everything is near!! The area also has UTSA UNIVERSITY
Very pleasant environment and full on trees. Fresh air. Good maintenance. We can witness and experience both sunrise and sunset from my apartment which I love it.
Great experience so far! Only thing is lots of bugs around the complexes, especially wasps around the exterior. The interior is really nice and clean.

I am very happy at the complex! We love our apartment and the area where it is located. I am bummed that the swimming pool in our building area was only open for a few days during the whole summer. It had a "swimming pool closed" sign at the gate the majority of the summer. That was a downer! Had to walk to the pool by the guest house and the lights were not on when it got dark even tho the swimming pool would close until 10 pm. Stopped going to the gym lately because a few of the machines are not working properly, there are ripped weigh balls and one of the benches too. Part of the equipment is missing making some of the uses of some machines unavailable (handle bars). A big part of the walking trail got completely worn out a few months ago due to heavy rain and it hasn't been restored. So those amenities are not really enjoyable at the moment. I wish management would consider fixing up the gym and making the trail and both the swimming pools available at all times.

Love our place here at Nova. Management and leasing staff are always kind, respectful and patient with my concerns and questions. Noise level is relatively low, property is clean and well kept. As rental rates continue to increase in this area; quality of amenities offered should reflect as well, ex: renovating gym with newer equipment, expanding pool area(s), etc. Maintenance team is by far the best team I’ve ever come across with their professionalism and promptness on all work orders. Overall great experience so far.

My apartment was spacious. The monthly rent price is decent. There is also plenty of parking space. Only issue I would say is the wasp nest around and thr bird nest build on the wall of the hallway on the third floor

This has been a great property. Our dog enjoys the walking trail, the facilities are kept clean and accessible. When we do have a maintenance concern it is handled quickly and professionally. It central to many cool places close by as well as necessities like HEB, COSCO etc. Just a great overall place to be.

We still love the property, how green it is and overall living here is peaceful. Maintenance is unbelievably slow, unresponsive and ineffective. We are AFRAID of needing anything from maintenance. Waiting time ranges between 8 and 12 days, its worse than the government. Finally, the water bill, its frustrating to say the least, to pay for super high water bill, when we see leaks all over the property all the time.

I’ve been here 2 years and haven’t really had any problems, maintenance is quick, it’s nice and quiet , the only thing is if you’re trying to get ahold of the front office goodluck, they hardly ever answer

maintenance is fantastic and front office is responsive. tough location right now due to the ongoing closures of 1604/10 which makes traffic awful. they stay on top of noise violations. overall cleanliness of grounds has somewhat decreased over the last year but it’s decently maintained

Half of the amenities aren’t in working order. The pet park water fountain is falling apart & doesn’t work. The back pool was “closed” for multiple weeks with no communication from management about when it would be fixed. Somehow, people were still able to get in while the closed signs were up, but I couldn’t get the gates open. Very confusing & staff should have been clear on what was going on. The units are average & maintenance is nice, but rent is too high to be advertising amenities the way they do only for half of them not to work. Also, residents are constantly leaving dog poop everywhere and trash outside their door on days there isn’t valet. Don’t let the advertising fool you, it’s just an average apartment complex. Overall disappointed with my experience. It would be a lot nicer if things were well maintained, cleaner, and management kept residents informed. The rent might even be worth in that case because the community itself is nice and quiet.

Great community. Very family oriented and there is always activities going on that Leasing office provides. Neighbors are also very friendly!
