Sitting on the eastern edge of the city, the Cuernavaca neighborhood of Mountain View, California, borders the neighboring town of Sunnyvale. I have been living in this property since December 2023, and I can confidently say it has been a wonderful experience. The location itself is fantastic. Being within walking distance from all my necessities is a huge reason for why I chose this property. The apartment itself is spacious, well-lit, and comfy.The leasing office staff have been incredibly attentive and responsive to my needs and concerns throughout my stay. Knowing that they are always available to answer any questions I might have made the process of finding a new apartment that much smoother. Maintenance requests have been handled promptly, and the amenities, such as the fitness center and pool are well-kept and enjoyable, which adds to the overall positive experience.

The new management is great! The manager provided a time window and the maintenance person arrived during that window. Maintenance person was very professional and was careful about cleanliness. 5 stars from me!

Moved in 2 weeks ago and so far everything is amazing. Don't mind the dirty hallway carpets, they're going to replace them! Great place to live! There's a beautiful business center, modern style apartments, and convenient location.

A nice apartment complex with the perfect location in Mountain View. The management team is really good and makes sure everyone feels comfortable here.

Off the Rails

I moved out of this community after two years. The last year was horrible. Common area carpets ruined, stained and never cleaned. Landscaping dead and withered, dog park never sanitized, to the point that urine is caked on the concrete walls. Do not be fooled by the photos, you really need to visit this place in person to do an assessment. I can not recommend the location, for any short stay professionals, or long term renters. There are many other, better managed communities at this price point.

A very modern and clean apartment

Oakwood MTV is a very modern and clean apartment as much newer than most apartments in the area. Ashley, Felicia, and the management team always listen to and try to accommodate the residents' needs. We, a family of 3, initially moved into a 1-bed apartment since no 2-bed available, yet later, we could move to a 1-bed + den unit (which is essentially a 2-bed, except that 1 room does not have a door), which was perfect for us to stay comfortably. I would recommend it to anyone I know. One caveat/minor issue is I heard from a few neighbors that they had noise issues from the floor above, but as we only stayed on the 4th (top) floor, we did not experience any issues.

Luxury but disappointing

I live here for a year, thinking that it would be a great experience with so-called luxury apartments. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. With any luxury apartment building, what you get is nice and modern interior. However, with Oakwood MTV, I encountered some issues: - Noise from the surrounding units: at 4pm everyday, I can hear the sound of weights slamming on the floor from upper units. - Toilet is extremely low quality. The toilet has clogged every time we use it and we constantly request maintenance to stop by and unclog it. It is nice to have onsite maintenance, however, it often takes a day or two for them to stop by, and if it occurs too frequently, it becomes a problem. Reaching out to management to request toilet upgrade resulted in a promise that never lands. - Rent is ridiculously expensive, especially for renewing lease. They decided to keep the rate the same as pre-pandemic level and do not match the new rate for new residents. - Internet/TV service fee will be paid by tenants, and I cannot adjust them (I do not watch TV so why do I have to pay for it?). I have been living in 6 different apartment rentals in the past 6 years in the bay area and sadly this is one of the worst 2 experiences. I do not recommend this place, please do your own research before making a decision.
