The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Manager at MPA / Marcy Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the 5-star review! We appreciate your kind words!
The person in the office right now is the best I have seen in an year. Very prompt and responds timely. Keep him as long as possible.
We have had issues this year with the online payment system and working out the details of that with the office. Other than that, I have had a positive experience in the apartment.
Many of my friends would be annoyed by the distance, even though this building is so close to a bus stop. The problem is that many times myself or my friends are on campus until after dark, and at this point the buses only run every half hour, yet walking home alone is not safe. My friends currently prefer their other living arrangements because they do not deal with this dilemma, and many of them have in-unit laundry which they much prefer.
I would recommend this apartment because the staff is nice and responsive, the building is quiet and clean.
Maintenance is a little slow and we ran into some issues with mold growth due to maintenance neglect, which we then got blamed for.
I lived here for 3 years during undergrad and can say it is a great place to live. Maintenance is great! We had to call them a few times over the years, and the response was always very quick. We even had to call the emergency maintenance number on a Sunday night at 10 pm once, and they had a person over in about 15 minutes. They rotate managers every year or so, but all of the ones I interacted with were very nice and helpful. Laundry rooms are on each floor of the building (although it's kinda expensive), and the fitness room is available, although small, but it has some equipment and free-weights. The 2 bus route stops right across the street and takes you to campus and the 4 stops nearby too and can take you to downtown. If you're worried about the freeway noise, don't be - the walls are solid. My bedroom and living room window literally looked out on 35W and it didn't ever bother my roommate or I. I wouldn't even bother trying with street parking unless you are okay leaving your car a few blocks away across 35W or in Como, but the lot and garage prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for anyone considering it.

Dear former resident, thank you for sharing your experience. It was our absolute pleasure to provide you with a comfortable home during your college years! We’re glad to read that you enjoyed your stay and had positive experiences with our staff and maintenance. We hope you all the best in your endeavors and will be taking your feedback to heart.
I would recommend this place because it is relatively affordable. Close to a bus stop, and management is awesome. The apartments are spacious too.
My room mates and I chose this apartment after looking through dozens of other near campus apartments- it was the only place with 3 bedroom apartments that kept under our budget. The building is generally clean, and the updated kitchens are quite nice. Management is easy to get a hold of when needed.
Moving away from home for college was hard but Marcy Park has made me feel right at home, and my kitty loves it here too!! :)
I have lived here for a while, the common areas are kept clean and maintenance is extremely fast! The bus stop is directly across the street which is nice when you roll out of bed 5 minutes before the bus is supposed to be here. (Plus access to most metro areas is great from here.) Mad food delivery skills in the area but there are a lot of loud parties so ear plugs are important if you like to sleep on the weekends. The balconies offer a nice view of the neighborhood and of your neighbors crying when they are intoxicated. Don’t believe the “No smoking” drama they put in the lease, I myself don’t smoke but everyone in this building seems to smoke without repercussions.
