Property Ratings at Mountainview Townhomes
Overall, the experience of living here is just ok. This place has so much potential and could really be great if management/ownership actually enforced the rules that they advertised. Sad. I've never felt unsafe here, yet there are some things that I've witnessed are definitely sketchy. Saw two girls get into an argument in the parking lot last year and stab each other. The price is RIDICULOUS for the level of upkeep we don't receive, and how nothing in general is fixed or cared for. The grass is hardly ever cut. If you need a AC Window Unit, you're told "They're on backorder," and never receive one, when all they'd have to do is simply go to Walmart and buy one. Parking spots are marked for certain apartments, but not every unit has a marked spot. The "spare parking" is beneath a lot of pine trees, which of course no one wants to park there. The dumpsters are ALWAYS full and overflowing with bags of trash, with furniture, etc sitting out by it. These are very old units with small gaps and cracks that make it easy for insects to come and go as they please. Unfortunately, there is only one other apartment complex in Kings Mountain that isn't an income based type. I've lived in that complex previously as well, and it is actually worse than here.
Roaches, spiders, and the people that live here are ghetto. Can’t park so your spot is either taken or some one parks half their car in your spot like they don’t care. Their maintenance is the same people that do it ALL. No lights in the bedrooms u have to have lamps. Hotel carpet in the bedrooms. Holes are painted over and everything is basically duct tapped together. People don’t clean up after their dogs. In 6 months only one break in, cops been out 4 times and the parking spaces are assigned. If you have an issue by all means don’t contact the office no one answers right away. Rent is way too high for what you get and u use window units here.
