Springfield is rich with American history -- one of the final American Revolution battles, the Battle of Springfield, was fought here in 1780. The town is still home to historical landmarks from the Revolution, including the Cannon Ball House (built in 1741), which is now a museum. After British troops burned the First Presbyterian Church, it was rebuilt -- but much of the original structure remains. Today, Springfield is one of the state's most popular townships -- it was even named one of the "Best Places to Live" by Newsweek Magazine in 2010. Springfield is also home to one of the nation's top-ranking high schools, Dayton High School.
The Baltusrol Golf Club, founded in 1895, has hosted several major golf tournaments, including the 2016 PGA Championship. The private golf course is ranked as one of the best in the country by Golfweek Magazine. Springfield is home to several beautiful parks, including Lenape Park, Hidden Valley Park, and Rahway River Parkway.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Mountainview Gardens
Please stay away from this apartments , very overpriced and poorly finished apartment with very cheap materials . This has been a horrible experience from start . The apartment is in poor condition and feels unsafe to live in. I've reported multiple serious issues (some affecting basic safety and livability), and nothing gets fixed in a timely manner. There is zero communication between the leasing office and the maintenance staff. I've been begging them to fix some problems. Be aware you will be rushed to sign the lease , don’t listen to them . They will tell you the apartment is totally renovated for you . See below pictures. Leaking window and sink , unleveled floor. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth the risk to your health, safety, or sanity.
0 star.. You have so many other options near this area. Don't let this one be your pick. Laundry room is absolutely filthy and filled with funky smell. But you actually don't need to go in cause none of them are working anyway. Management don't know a thing about what they are doing and don't even feel ashamed of that.
Insects come and go as they please. Central heat is always on on most days which makes the hot days hotter, regular days hot and cold days warm. There's hard water here so expect issues with your hair and rinses. Don't expect to be able to drink or purify this water, there's such a chemical nature (additives) to this water. This is why you'll see most residents get bottled water every grocery trip. Bathrooms are small and barely ventilated.
Don't come here. The management and maintenance are rude and super lazy. I found mice in my apartment and all they did was give me mouse traps.
