      Neighborhood

      Outer North Charleston sits at the center of the city of North Charleston and lies just under 13 miles to the northwest of nearby downtown Charleston. An easy 20-minute drive via Interstate 26 takes residents into downtown Charleston and its multitude of restaurants and bars. The Charleston Air Force Base resides at the center of the outer North Charleston neighborhood, and due to this proximity, many current and former military personnel make the neighborhood their home. Home styles typically range from either mid-1900s ranch styles to between one- and two-story homes built in the 2000s.

      Outer North Charleston residents enjoy easy access to international travel via the Charleston International Airport, which is located within the neighborhood. The North Charleston Coliseum, Charleston’s only coliseum and largest performance venue, provides residents with loads of entertainment.

      I’ve only lived at Monty for a couple of weeks but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it! Leasing and move in was super easy, Grace and the rest of the team are very professional and knowledgeable about the property. The grounds are always well kept and the complex is clean and quiet. So far everything about Monty has been great and I’d recommend adding it to your search if you’re looking for a place to rent!

      I’ve only been here for two weeks and I am pretty sure I won’t renew. It’s quiet so that’s a plus and maintenance is responsive. That’s the only two things I can say at this point but I don’t think they really care about the residents. It could just be a me thing, I would hope everyone else experience is better than mine thus far.

      I genuinely love the environment at Monty. Since moving in, I have felt more at home more included and definitely in the loop in comparison to my last apartment complex. Everyone in the office is very inviting. They have constant communication about things within the community and outside of the community.

      I’ve lived at a lot of places around Charleston and none come close to how good the experience living at Monty is. The community is cozy and extremely well kept. Everyone is kind and helpful. The apartments themselves are extremely nice and the walls are thick. It’s peaceful yet lively. The maintenance team fixes issues almost immediately. Extremely well managed, great place to live.

      I have lived in many apartment complexes and never in my life have I been treated as well as I am at Monty. Every work request is resolved with the utmost care within 24 hours. The grounds are cleaned and maintained to pristine conditions. It is a quiet complex. I love it here!

      I moved into a 3rd floor 1 bedroom apartment at Monty in North Charleston right as they were concluding construction in July 2021. I had visited several other places over a couple weeks, but was so impressed by the staff's professionalism and the luxurious quality of the property that I signed a 13 month lease within an hour. The property is beautifully landscaped with a refreshing array of grassy lawns, hammock nooks, and plenty of palm trees. The clubhouse has top tier amenities and an impressive artistic aesthetic along with luxury restrooms and a well equipped gym facility. Adjacent to the clubhouse is a large pool surrounded with plenty of seating and a couple cabanas. At night the pool is illuminated with LEDs and like everything on the property contributes to a sense that you're living in something of a resort. Apartment finishes are ultra modern, ceilings are 9' high, appliances are stainless steel, and bathroom finishes are impressive. The walls are very well insulated so noisy neighbors wont be an issue and there are outlets boxes all over the place. The free Wi-Fi is great, as is the free gated parking and nightly trash valet service. A pet will run you a substantial but standard monthly fee and they are strangely stingy with keys and fobs; you only get one set. The only other downside is the asphalt wasteland that surrounds the property gate, although it's also 0 yards from City Hall which is super convenient once in a blue moon. Overall great place to live, best leasing team I've ever had (exceptionally warm, helpful, and diligent with maintaining the property and infrastructure in mint condition. Prices rose significantly since last year, but Monty is still by far the best value in Charleston County. I couldn't recommend it more sincerely.

      This apartment complex is one of the best places I have lived from west coast to east coast. Monty is at a prime location in North Charleston as it is about 15 minutes anything you could want to do in the Charleston area. It’s located right across the highway from Tanger Outlets, Top Golf, and axe throwing. In the opposite direction you can head down to park circle and go to all the amazing restaurants and breweries. Also, this is a great place for military members as you are about 15 to 20 minutes from both military bases in the area. Finally the cherry on top for me at Monty was that the Wi-Fi, it is included in the rent and is usable throughout the entire complex

      I don't think the leasing staff could have made it any easier for my roommate and I to move in. They are a great team, professional but also very easy to have a conversation with. The maintenance staff are also a huge help and work hard to ensure any problems are resolved as quick as possible, even staying after the work day has ended to get the job done. The grounds are well maintained. It is really nice having the convenience of a gym with 24/7 access. I think the gym could use a few more free weights, but the equipment is still sufficient for a solid workout. I don't hit the pool much, but it's also great having a pool with grills for those get-togethers. Rent is just a little pricy I'd say, but definitely nowhere near unreasonable. I personally would not rent an apartment alone. Last but not least, we never have problems with neighbors. Everyone here is pretty chill. Love living here.
