The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Monterey Village
I lived here for three years There's a huge homelessness issue around the area and it's getting worse. There's always people digging through all of the dumpster. Hard to get maintenance to respond to repair requests or get a hold of the property manager. There's never anyone in the office. The area is noisy with the cars on the main road if you live on that side, it's a nightmare. The apartment lamps around the complex are always out. There's almost no storage in the kitchen area or anywhere in the unit. You have to get creative with your space. The appliances are very outdated. They kept 2/3 of my whole deposit even though I spent a week cleaning the unit even for normal living wear and tear. Would not live here again if I had the choice. There's convenient shopping in the area but that's about it.
This property is the absolute best property I have lived at. I am currently living at a 1 bedroom 1 bath with a really large balcony. I am currently moving to a house. However i would not leave if otherwise. I have to say my experience here has been amazing. Property Manager Erica , Mary Alice and Guadalupe are always smiling and providing residents with great service. Not only that , but they put together the largest community event in the summer and so many movie nights throughout the year for residents. They really focus on bringing the community together and making the residents feel at home. What property gives you balloons and a card for your birthday, Christmas cards etc? They really show that they care for the property residents. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends.
I am extremely sad to have to leave this place at the end of the month as this was my first apartment experience and loved it. The people here are extremely courteous, both neighbors and staff. Guadalupe and Erika are both very nice, helpful and are readily available to answer any questions you may have. The apartments were clean, the complex outside was clean and never had any problems with neighbors being too loud. The apartments are centrally located to everything you'll need, grocery stores, mall, hospitals, freeway access, etc. Overall great experience and will definitely look into coming back if life brings me to Modesto again.
I'm on my second 6-month lease renewal. The management is nice and if any problems are brought up to them, such as sticky door lock, or noisy fan, the issue is resolved within a day. I may just renew for a third time, if girlfriend wants to move-in.
