Capitol Heights -- named for its location near Washington, DC -- provides the perfect location: near DC, near the Capital Beltway, and minutes away from FedEx Field, home of the NFL's Washington Football Team. It is also close to the Anacostia River, the United States National Arboretum, and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. Capitol Heights is a terrific location for your DC-area apartment, only about seven miles southeast of downtown. Hop on the Metro at the Capitol Heights Metro Station for a fast, car-free commute. Despite being so close to the historic sites of DC, Capitol Heights was a rural area with no paved roads or streetlights. In 1910, the 200 residents in the area named their town "Capitol Heights," but it wasn't until 1980 and the arrival of the Metro Blue Line that the town began to grow.

When I first came here from Las Vegas to work at Suitland High School, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious apartments here. I also can say that Sydnee is the best. She worked hard and fast to get me squared away. She is very personable and makes others feel comfortable. I hope that with the new Management, she will stay and that things transition smoothly.

I lived here for about two years and the amount of chaos I experienced made this the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. Roaches, mice and spider crickets. Yes I said spider crickets. They eat carpet, they release this foul odor and they jump at you when you try to spray them. They can also leave really bad bites. Look it up. I had an infestation of them because the apartments are old and they refuse to renovate. They just send out some guy who pretends to be an exterminator but just just sprays like some raid around the perimeter and all the bugs come back again. Mice I even had a raccoon get trapped in a vent above my head in my bedroom. It knocking around trying to get out at 3 am because I had the heat on high. The complex said nothing about it just hired ppl to clear the trees. I had my packages stolen for an entire year and was yelled at by a front desk worker because she didn’t not want the mailman dropping my packages at the office to be safe. When I asked why I’m paying thousands of dollars in rent and I can’t even trust that my packages won’t be stolen at my complex I was told I need to pay and get a P.O. Box at the post office. Police are always in the parking lot. It’s impossible to find parking. It’s just not worth the entire headache this place is. It’s nothing like what they show on the images

I was given a tour of the property by one of leasing agents. She answered all my questions! And made me feel like this could be my home very soon

I live in Lexington court now and they are the worst property to live! I been here just turning 4 months and I came with nothing to the apartment but my flat screen TV and they have me a mouse and roach infested apartment... the people working in the office they're names are Jacuhra , Brittany and Sue they act nice in you face and when you tell them multiple things are wrong with your apartment the will not fix it
This is my very first apartment and so far everything is good.....its quiet....no bugs....nobody hanging out in the front or in the hallway. My bldg is in a good location. For now......I'm very happy.
I thought it was unreal when I found out that these people give you a great quality apartment at a very reasonable price. The leasing staff is friendly and efficient, and that goes for the maintenance crew also. I suggest everyone to go check this place out.
