Located 28 miles southeast of Atlanta, McDonough, Georgia combines historic charm with contemporary living. The city's heart is its traditional town square, where the historic Henry County Courthouse stands among local shops and restaurants. From the square, neighborhoods extend outward, offering various rental options including townhomes and single-family homes. Residents enjoy easy access to Interstate 75 and numerous parks throughout the community.
The downtown district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserves McDonough's architectural heritage dating to 1823. The annual Geranium Festival celebrates the city's nickname with local art, music, and community activities. McDonough provides residents with multiple shopping centers, parks, and recreational facilities. Several educational institutions maintain nearby campuses, and the area has served as a filming location for various productions.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Thank you so much! We're happy to here your experience here at Meadowlark Apartments was pleasant. We look forward to welcoming you to your new home . Please let us know if there's anything we can do to assist you during your stay.
Pros: Price is fairly reasonable compared to other apartments in the area. Buildings are a little old but the inside itself is decent. Good lighting at night time is good and the amount of trees are nice. Maintenance man is great! Neighbors are friendly and quite. Also it is pet friendly. Cons: The way the office is ran is mediocre at best. Honestly a little shady with the way they expect payment ( I think an Audit should be done if you catch my drift)and I have NEVER heard of an apartment complex serving eviction notices after the fourth day payment is due. Train is loud at all hours of the night even though you get used to it after a while but the cars that think they are in Fast and Furious race on the street right next to the complex get very annoying. Roaches, ants, and centipedes have been a slight issue as well.
The community and the people that live in the community are great! Everyone watches out for each other and says hello it's a very tight close friendly environment. The maintenance guy is very quick to respond and takes care of all issues promptly. The office is IMPOSSIBLE to reach.. phones go directly to voicemail on a regular basis. If you ever have a question you can forget getting an answer. The water bill has gone up on me by $10 each month since living here and I don't even own a washer and dryer and use paper plates so minimal dishes! Of course getting an explanation is obviously never going to happen. If you don't mind calling someone repeatedly for a couple weeks to get an answer or even an hello on the other end then this is your place. This has been an issue from the very beginning and only getting worse. This would get 5 stars if the office was responsive.
Property Manager at Meadowlark Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your review, we welcome your feedback in that it makes us better. We are glad to hear that you enjoy your neighbors and that your maintenance issues are taken care of efficiently and promptly. Due to the size of the community the office has limited office hours, which is posted on the office door and publications sent out to residents. It would help the staff that when a resident call they leave a voice mail message and someone from the team will return the calls by the next business day. You may also write your concerns down and place in the drop box and a team member will respond to your request. Within a week we will send out additional information on how you can submit request and questions to the office staff. We understand your concerns about your water bill. Each resident is billed according to their own individual usage. Last month preventive water leak checks were done and meter checks were done by an outside professional to insure the accuracy of the billing. Everything is up to standard and the billing rate has not increased. We would like to discuss this with you to make sure there were no other errors or problems. It is our commitment to continue to create a place that our residents love to call home. Thank you for being a valued resident at Meadowlark Apartment Homes.
