The easy way to travel inside or outside the city limits is by way of I-29, which passes directly through. Situated in the northern half of the Great Plains, the landscape is very much flat – with the exception of a few rolling hills – and suitable for farmlands. There are many restaurants and casinos here, mostly corralled on Military Road. McCook Lake extends almost seven miles from the western border.
