Apartment is in a good location. The apartment itself is old and falling apart. The walls and trim are pained over and over and over again. Caulking everywhere. Stairs are loose, and doors stick with humidity. The maintenance is good....office is horrific. I would not rent here, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The area is nice outside of the complex, but the people inside are disrespectful and inconsiderate. Management isn't around during business hours and no one in the office has the power to help with any issues. Maintenance requests are fast but don't always fix the problem due to very aged plumbing, furnace, and appliances. Roofing construction on the property and cabinet replacement inside of apartments with no notice to residents. Management responds weeks after and doesn't try to resolve the issue at hand and instead, personally attacks the resident.
I have been living in the Main Street Apartment for about a year started from I relocated from Washington. The Apartment is in great location, 5 minutes walk from the Carmel downtown and Art street. You might think the neighborhood is near the street which has heavy traffic and would be very noisy? Not for this case. My apartment is located away from the main street and close to the Meadow Park. In morning and dawn you could hear the birds singing. Peaceful and Beautiful environment. More importantly, the great service from the leasing office really impressed me. They are kind and easy to deal with. Several days ago when Carmel was experiencing the "real" Summer which has 90 F outside, the air conditioner in the apartment was broken. I wished to have a shower weather but I had to take 2 showers at home in order to stay cool. It was Sunday afternoon around 5PM. I called the leasing office and transferred to the On Call service phone. With half an hour the service staff came and help me to fix it. I really appreciate it their help. If you would like to find a great place to live in and met with the nice people, I strongly recommend the Main Street Apt on the Monon.
