The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Madrone
Went and visited the apartment, which was adequate for our purposes, but not spectacular. The neighborhood was great though. Rushed through the paperwork, fedex'd the check, after being told that we were first in line and only one other interested party. Once the check arrived, we were told that we were third in line and that he'd get back to us if the other two didn't work out. Liars at best, thieves in my opinion. I wouldn't trust them with my doormat.
I have lived here for one and half year, the price keep increasing 13% per year. And the management didn't do anything when I claim my neighbor smokes. And they didn't remind tenants throw the garbage into the garbage can which cause the garbage on the ground smelling.
I have not yet lived in the apartment but I liked it on the tour. But I had to write this review because the management is poor. I applied for my lease 10 days ago and still have not heard back. I have called and emailed multiple times without any answer. They also could not tell me how many parking spots they have (I asked them this question specifically because of reviews stating there isn't enough parking). I actually went there and counted the open (not reserved) spaces myself. There is 1 open parking spot for every 3 apartments (which is to be shared for your 2nd unassigned parking space and guest parking). No wonder they do not want to give us the numbers because it does not sound good. Also, have concerns about the caltrain but I guess that's not their fault and cannot do anything about it. I am worried that if the management responds like this to a potential resident, how do they treat current residents who have already signed the lease and are stuck living there for the duration of their lease. This whole process is definitely giving me second thought about living at Madrone.
I recommend people to NEVER SIGN WITH THEM! I paid my security deposit in full and completed my application at Madrone. I received several emails congratulating me on my move-in, which clearly specified my apartment unit, my parking spot, my mailbox, and move-in date. I gave my current landlord my 30-day notice. AND 12 DAYS BEFORE THE MOVE-IN, Madrone arbitrarily CANCELLED our agreement, telling us that they will be renewing the contract with the current tenants. During the process of visiting the property, submitting an application and processing the payments, they never mentioned anything about the current tenant issue. Now, I have less than 20 days to find a new place to live. Also, in this process, they did not reach out to us to let us know the cancellation. For more than a week, they never picked up my calls, ignored 2 voicemails, and FB messages. After avoiding my calls for hundreds of times, only when I reached them through a different phone number, did they CASUALLY mention that they are canceling our lease. I believe that the most important thing to consider when choosing an apartment is how well the apartment is managed. Clearly, their handling of our application was very unprofessional and they were not responding at all. And I don't think this was my unique experience. See the other reviews below to get a sense of their poor management.
