Property Ratings at MAA Preserve
Maybe it's due to the pandemic but I could not download a copy (for printing) of the lease agreement before signing it. I had to resort to reading the contract on my phone, not recommended. I had a bad experience with the leasing office about the terms of renting an apartment at their complex. Honestly, I probably would have still rented there however that interaction does not sit well with me. To put icing on the cake my car was stolen in broad daylight after the second night of staying in the apartment. They could have at least pretended like they cared that would have gone a long way with me as a tenant. The apartment is ok. Its poorly laid out, some spaces are too large and others too small in the apartment. The design just doesn't make sense at times but it's not horrible. No linen closet in the master bedroom area. Kitchen too large and laundry room too small. No pantry!!!!!!!!! Bedrooms are small. Packages are misdelivered constantly. Last but not least, I work from home. I had submitted a request for Maintenace to complete. some tasks in the apartment. I noted that they did not have permission to enter the apartment. I heard a knock, and I responded just one second and before I know it, I heard the door opening. I quickly yelled "Hold on I am coming; I have to put some clothes on." Should probably let renters know how they will be contacted if no permissions are given. The leasing agent certainly did not have an issue getting in touch with me when I had not signed that contract!

I read several negative reviews. All were months before I moved in (9/23/2022). I could not relate. Office team was great, and apartment is spaciuos. Price quite competitive. Had 3 service calls and all were addressed very timely. Location is close to a LOT of stores, restaurants, and services, yet quiet at night. A great find.

I get that certain things come with any place lived in by another person, but when you raise the price of rent by $200 + and hardly anything has been added to make the apartment better, you constantly see bugs and roaches even after the exterminator sprays, the windows "sweat" year round causing some kind of mildew on all the window seals it makes the living experience terrible. The are better apartments in the surrounding area if you're able to afford it. The only reason my girlfriend and I renewed the lease is because despite the increase it's still cheaper than everywhere else. Moral of the story is only move here if you have no other options and don't mind bugs, roaches, and heavy-footed neighbors. Great area, below average place to stay.

*WARNING* We had a TERRIBLE and LOUSY experience with the leasing team, where they do not care about prospective customers. We got a price and could not fill out an application because of website issues--Site manager DANIEL did not send us an application as promised within 24 hours and said he would honor that first price. We email and call them the same day, and NO ANSWER or NO FOLLOW UP. The next day we have to fill out another form, then do not hear back for four days. We show up, and THEY BLAME US for having technical issues and DISHONOR the original price, wanting to charge about $300 MORE PER MONTH on the price. They have a BAD REPUTATION for treating people this way. We are HAPPY TO LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Went two separate weeks without hot water and management did not see this as a big deal or as an issue that needed immediate attention. Having lived here for years this struck me as something that would require immediate attention, but Daniel, the property manager didn't seem to care and refused to call me back after hours to discuss why this has taken so long when the hot water heater was to be delivered and installed today. This property has steadily gone down hill since i moved in here three years ago. If I had known these issues would have arisen I NEVER would have renewed for another year. I cannot wait to get out of my lease and away from this complex!!!!

This community and property is the first I have ever wanted to renew a lease with and continue my residency with. I would like to give them a perfect rating but little things here and there are inconvenient and the fault of these items aren't with the property or its staff, which are phenomenal. Their resident website though usable, is not the best and could use an overhaul. Maintenance request through the leasing office can be hit or miss; apparently only the property manager can submit them to the system and if you give that request to a leasing agent, it might never get recorded. From there everything else about the property is great. the staff is friendly and knows my name. They have many activities for their residence and little activities that make living there an experience.
