Property Ratings at MAA Milstead
I have lived at MAA Millstead Village for going on 3 years now. I've rented @ different floor plans and have comments for both. My first apartment with MAA was a 2 bedroom similar to the 2 bedroom that they stage for tours. When moving in we noticed that the apartment hadn't been updated fully so there were 0 fans in the ceiling which we had to install, NBD. The real issue was the bugs we noticed being on the 1st floor. My second apartment was the SMALL 1 bedroom, roughly 811 sq. ft., I have nothing but great things to say about that apartment, noticed 0 bugs inside the apartment and have always had amazing experiences with staff and maintenance. These were both my 1st apartments and I'd consider MAA Millstead because the location, ease with staff and ANY issues, and I've NEVER had an issue with break ins in cars or apartments! 10/10!!

I lived there for two years I had a nightmare. I donāt recommend this apartment to anyone it is full of pests and German cockroaches. I had pest control come there every week and no one cared I also always had leaked from the apartment on top of mine and no one cared but when it comes to their money they wanted it on the spot. A lot of drugs are in sight and the gate works one month a year. Cars are towed right and left and there is never a spot to park. It is way overpriced. Every year the rent went up atleast $100 if not more which is not worth the stay where you live with bugs and rats and mice

Don't be fooled by the friendly staff as they are clearly sipping some sort of kool aid to believe that the complex has issues. the woman I was working with was too busy to do a walk through of my apartment before I moved. I come in and notice that a dog has clearly scraped up and chewed on the bay window sash and the balcony door was just painted over, the bathroom vanity was also falling apart, oh and the washer and dryer are missing. Okay no big deal they'll come after the weekend. Well good thing that my upstairs neighbors bathtub would flood my bathroom the next day. And a week later my toilet would leak. Easy fixes right? Nope! My upstairs neighbors will flood my bathroom several more times a few months down the road and my toilet is probably never going to stop leaking. But wait there's more! If you come home to it flooding for the third time and call emergency maintainence please wait an hour for a response to be told that since it's no longer flooding you'll have toilet wait until morning when it floods again. Oh and if the next time your neighbor's apartment leaks you better hope it's not in the utility closet. No big deal emergency maintainence will call and hour later and show up after the fire department leaves and tell you you wont have and A/C during a heat wave. Maintainence also won't listen to their advice on replacing the hot water heater. So if you see something in the news about those pray for me. Now the gates are nice decoration and decoration only until its 11 pm and you're coming home from work. It's been two months since they've closed, but now not only does your key not work, but your name and number have been deleted from the system and you just have to hope someone with a working key is gracious enough to let you in. But what about the staff? They know all of this and have yet to apologize for any inconvenience even after not having a useable bathroom for months. Now, I must be off to kill the millipedes coming in by the dozen through my front door.

Stay Away!!!!!!! Don't be fooled. They staff is nice and the place is beautiful but it's a trick. I am very patient and fair and I have given them a chance but this place is a nightmare. Please take my be advise. This is not a joke.

I've had a great time living here. Nothing happens outside of the normal apartment issues like occasional loud neighbors or a roach or two. I got bad news for everyone. In Georgia, bugs are going to find their way in. However, they do a good job of pest control. Complaints are as follows: -Pet fees are a little too high compared to the rest. -Visitor parking is essentially non-existent. If you entertain a lot, you will have a bad time. -Yes, the gates are always broken. Milstead DOES try to keep them working. This is mostly a resident/guest issue, as they keep breaking them. Overall, I've been here for a few years and would continue to live here in the future.

This place is an absolute nightmare. My apartment has been infested with roaches and centipedes coming through the air vents since I moved in. We keep the apartment spotless and have still had cockroaches fall on us in our beds and showers. It is disgusting. The office staff is rude and not willing to help with any situation. They had continued to brush me off about the constant bug problems to the point where I have given up. The parking is horrendous, considering there is not even enough spots for all the residents let alone guests. The only good thing about this place is the maintenance staff.
I have lived here for over a year now and it has been a terrible experience. The service requests take over a month to be completed and they have miscellaneous charges on you bill every month. They provide very limited guest parking and they will tow your car if you don't have a sticker at the right place (too lazy to check if it's there) and will try to make you pay for the towing cost. The leasing office and management is terrible and provide poor customer service. The manager is very rude and tries to pull tricks on you by saying that it was on the lease. When signing your lease they tell you that the gates are secured and that you can use an access code to get in, after signing they say that the gate only works with local Atlanta numbers and that you must pay an extra $50 if you want another remote for a second car. The so called secured and gated community had broken gates and fences for over 6months and was basically widely open to anyone (before signing you are told that they spend a fortune in securing their community). I can safely assume that their employees wrote those 5* ratings you see here. Don't let these shady people fool you to signing a lease here! I am definitely not renewing mine.

I have been living in Milstead Village for a few months now and absolutely love it! It is a very clean community and the apartments are very spacious for the price. The staff is wonderful to work with and will help you as soon as possible with any requests you have. The apartments are beautiful as well as the amenities offered here in this gated community!

I recent moved into Milstead village and the day before move in was very scary, I did the walk thru (which no one came with me) and the carpet was gross the water pressure was so hard and the carpet had stuck paint to it and the blinds were rusting, the list goes on. The day we moved in it was cleaned a little better but I noticed little black hairs in the master bath, I do not have black hair. Overall now it's a great place after I spent at least 5 hours cleaning it spotless.
Amazing complex but horrible gate it's always broken.
Want to rest? Want to have fun? Milstead Village is in the perfect location to enjoy life at your own pace. Plenty of activities for those who like to stay active and plenty of greenery and places to relax if you just want to chill. Walking distance to almost any restaurant and the mall and a perfect location to commute to downtown! I walk to and from the bus station every day! Saves gas and allows my family to utilize the car during the day. Best of both worlds.
