Property Ratings at Lowell at Mueller
WORST MAINTENANCE TEAM EVER I sent a work order to fix a section of my bedroom ceiling that became paper thing due to pests gnawing at it from the other side on 6/6. It's now 9/9 and they still haven't fixed it. My kitchen lights are florescent bulbs, which are said to last 20 000 hours (8 years), were replaced 6 months ago. And now both of them are burnt out. I sent another work order to replace those on 8/31 and they haven't fixed it. I sent a message on the resident portal, phoned the front desk, and spoke with the lead maintenance worker in person TWICE. He told me he'd come by to fix it the same day I talked to him....never happened. And to top it all off, my rent has gone up by 20% in just a year...and this is what I'm paying more for. Due yourself a favor and LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE
Large companies like Greystar do not care about the comfort of their community They only strive for profit, cutting as many corners as they can at the expense of the residents.
Lowell at Mueller is ideally located and a very nice community. The management staff is helpful, floor plans are good
My roommate and I have moved in about 3 months ago and then they started the construction for the W&D, I was a little worried it was going to be a huge mess but I was surprised that the transition went soo smooth... Love the W&D very convenient!!
First I wanted to thank, Theresa the office manager.. She great, She got me approved and moved in so quick.. The property is well taken care and the maintenance is always on time
Fantastic experience so far. Raquel and Gabrielle have managed the move in process very well and we had everything we needed for a successful move in. Property management team is best part about the place. Location is great, you’re close to the restaurants Close to Lady Bird and trails and you can easily hop on the highway to get where you need to go. Building itself is super nice too - quiet solid construction.
My family and I have been living at Heritage for over 5 years now.. We love it here, walking distance from store and restaurants.
We experienced friendly service and an efficient process getting our apartment leased and ready for a fast move in. Very affordable for living so close to downtown Austin. A huge bonus is they are currently adding a washer and dryer to all apartments. Up until now everyone had to use a laundry mat. Wasn’t looking forward to having to use a laundry mat and that added expense. Such a nice, clean and well managed place to call home.
This property is awesome. My family loves it here. New management is GREAT!! Thank you for cleaning up the property, I have noticed that there are no longer broke down cars and the apartments are looking cleaner. Thank you Gabrielle and Theresa
We've been here a little over a year. Recently signed for another year. I really like it here.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for about 7 months now. We are both so surprised by how good this place turned out to be, considering it’s pretty affordable. Pros: 1. Maintenance responds to requests quickly. We have only had to call maintenance twice for minor reasons, and both times they responded and fixed the issue within one or two days. 2. It’s a quiet place to live. I have only heard our neighbors a hand full of times, but other than that it’s really quiet. I don’t know if we just got lucky and have really quiet neighbors or if the building is built well, but either way it’s been nice. 3. Everything in the apartment seems to work well. I’ve had a few problems getting the stove to heat well sometimes, but after messing with it a bit it hasn’t been a problem. AC and heating work great. No leaks, smells, or any other problems. There was a time when our power was shut off for a few days, but that was a state-wide crisis so I don’t blame the complex. Cons: 1. Roaches. We don’t get a lot of them, I’d say I see one every month or so, but they’re so big and creepy lol. But that’s kind of hard to get away from in Texas. 2. The neighborhood isn’t the best. I would feel safer here if they had more security for the complex. However, nothing too weird has happened here and I haven’t had my car broken into. Once I noticed a homeless man going through the garbage, however he didn’t bother me and I didn’t feel unsafe because of him. Another time a young homeless man knocked on our door and a few other doors. I’m not sure what he wanted because I didn’t feel safe to engage him, but that was a bit odd I suppose. I was honestly expecting worse because the area is pretty run down, but it would be nice if the apartment took better safety measures. 3. Lighting. My biggest gripe with this place is how dark the apartment is. Very little natural light, with no overhead lighting fixture in the main living area. This could of course just be my unit, but it was the worst part of living here for me. Overall I am really happy with our experience here. I would say if you’re on a budget and need a clean, quiet place to live, that this a pretty good option.

thank you for your review and for you detailed feedback. We will use it as a way to keep improving. Sincerely, The Heritage at Hillcrest Ownership
We have been without power since early Monday morning (2;00a.m.). The apartment complex has done nothing to ensure the safety of the residents. NO deicing mix, no salting, no snow shoveling, NOTHING. The residents are taking it upon themselves to keep themselves and their neighbors safe. Myself, my girlfriend, and my son were clearing a path with a regular camping shovel and a skateboard when we witnessed Oso, the "head maintenance" guy, walking into the maintenance barn, grab a snow shovel, and then he pushed one shovel full of snow and said, "oh my gloves" and left with the snow shovel and never returned. Then, just now, Wednesday morning, I saw Oso again as I was clearing ice off the steps and asked him if he had any salt mix, he replied no and kept walking. The lack of care and active participation in making sure the residents are safe is not a new thing to this apartment complex. Everyone in a position of power are severely lacking in common sense and professionalism. I'm saddened to say the way they are ignoring a huge safety issue is not something unusual for this apartment complex. They simply do not care about the residents. This storm has been known to be hitting us since last week. WHY were they not properly prepared at one of their main jobs, MANAGING THE PROPERTY!

w EDITING THIS POST OVER A YEAR LATER! DO NOT LIVE HERE!! This place has gone so downhill it’s unbelievable. Management does nothing to remedy the situation. They are aware of a massive illegal operation taking place in the complex that attracts Homeless and other unwanted visitors. Every morning someone’s car is either smashed into, homeless are passed out in the hallways, or you get spooked at 6 am in the parking lot by meth heads asking you for change. MANAGEMENT HAS HEARD FROM SO MANY OF US TENANTS AND CONTINUE TO DO NOTHING!!! No gate no extra security!!? Apartments in bad areas of Houston have 24 hour security!! Maybe take some lessons there. Overall horrible place to live and do not ever consider this apartment complex. 3 crimes have been committed against me by the Homeless in the past 2 weeks!!!
Moved in when I started grad school. Excellent spot for students, staff is very good. Great place for pets and they have google fiber!

Thank you for the review and 5 stars! We are glad to have you as part of the Heritage at Hillcrest family. Sincerely, Heritage at Hillcrest Ownership
I had a horrible experience with the new staff. I have always been a good tenant and respectful when I went to the office. The don't know how to talk to people, I tried my best to express my concern respectfully but they didn't want to hear it. The main lady raised her voice, talked to me like I was a child , treated me like she just wanted me to shut up. They ended up ignoring me and treating me like I wasn't there. If I'm being respectful then they should definitely be respectful back, they are the ones working. It bothers me when people are in a bad mood at work, I have been a manager in a very big place, I dealt with hundreds of people in a day and many complaints. That's why I cant understand why they act that way. Even when I thought a customer was in the wrong, I would tell them that in a respectful and professional way, it was my job just like it is theirs. I was being respectful and they treated me as if i came yelling and demanding things. That is not acceptable. What ever their stance was they should have told me it in a professional manner.

I have only lived here for 3 months now, But this apartment is like my home. I feel like i have lived here for years! With rent for a rear, i could fill my fridge with more the fruit and sandwitch things! I could even get a kitten to make it feel more like home! Please rent for a year, help me out!
This apartment complex is in a great location! It is near everything you could possibly hope for though. There is a Target, an HEB and many restaurants and other shops just a minute away. It is so so convenient! The complex is also very quiet even though is is right off of I-35 and near so many shops.
