Property Ratings at Loft One35
If I could give zero stars, I would. This apartment complex is completely unresponsive and unprofessional. Phone calls and emails go unanswered for weeks at a time. Per my lease agreement, sublets are allowed, but the office refuses to send out applications to prospective tenants. I have had three different people try to apply, but none of them ever received the required paperwork, forcing them to find other housing. Because of this negligence, I’m now stuck paying two leases. What’s worse is that no one in the office will return calls or discuss the situation—there’s absolutely no communication or accountability. Renting here has been extremely frustrating, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this property to look elsewhere.
The location of the building is hard to beat, but the front office has added a new fee every 2-3 months since taking over last year. Lived here through several management companies, but the newest one has added almost $100 in monthly fees without changing anything about the complex. I now pay a $40 amenity fee and a $20 package service fee and most recently they’ve added $50 in parking on top of the usual fees that already existed (trash, pest…). The amenities are completely average and just like every other older complex, just a gym, a pool, and a courtyard that no one uses, and the package system is honestly just a cop out so the front office doesn’t have to deal with packages yet you have to pay $20 a month for it. Most apartments in Charlotte do have over $100 in added fees for month, but a lot offer internet and cable included in those fees while I have to pay for that in addition to my monthly fees. New management has just made it scammy with all the decisions being made while nothing has improved the building. The garage doors are constantly left open, there was a homeless man living in one of the stairwells for several months this summer, and I can hear every move my upstairs neighbor makes.

The new management, Styl, that has taken over managing Loft One35 is highly incompetent when it comes to the actual signed contracts and since taking over has added approximated $150 in monthly fees to base rent. The representatives that Styl has brought in continually make verbal assurances, such as both garage doors will be repaired in 3 weeks, mind you the garage doors have been left wide open for the last 4 months allowing non-residents to park inside which is a very concerning security breach. Further, management's incompetent comes to light when asking multiple question about building changes as they do not have straightforward answers and have said "this is they way we are handling it now, if you don't agree you can find another place to live."
For the price you are paying, you are better off getting an apartment in the same area for the same price. Garbage is over flowing, glass on the street and in the grass by the dumpsters, and now BOTH sets of parking garage doors are broken. Leaving no building security. Management does not seem to care at all.
Unfortunately, the management company really has so work to do. The garage doors are constantly broken, trash room is overflowing, elevators out of order, and doors left open. Sadly, this has led to homeless people sleeping in the stairwells. Management is aware and has done nothing to address these issues, and sadly takes 3+ emails to respond.
Great location and amenities, but poor management practices and failure to address recurring issues hurts quality of life.
Loft ONE35 is a clean, friendly place to live with great amenities.
Loft One35 is a beautiful property with great amenities. It is very close to a lot of places to eat and explore, my apartment has a great and spacious layout with a lot of natural light, and the staff are very nice and helpful!

Amenities: Pool has been green for weeks Coffee machine works 50% of the time The Building: Nothing is secure about this building. Garage doors are stuck open giving access to anyone. One of the main exits was chained closed (against code) for 2 months because they wouldn’t fix the locking system. Hallway flooring and trim look terrible. Its honestly embarrassing as a resident.

Our pool just recently had a chemical imbalance but it is returning back to its normal state no later than tomorrow by noon. We are also happy to share that our new gate arrives within two weeks. The unit is great, but the noise levels are a concern (walls, windows, floor and ceilings). Morehead Street is the primary cause of noise, so seek a unit that does not face that direction.

I lived at Loft One35 for two years, beginning in 2019. When I first moved in, things were great. Fun community events were held often, concierge was helpful, low noise, and adequate amenities. Then once COVID-19 started, something changed. The leasing staff that were there when I moved in seemed to be let go and they went without anyone for a while but were eventually replaced. There also seemed to be management turnover. First, safety is not good at this apartment. Entryway doors would constantly break and there was no sense of urgency to fix. One stairwell door with fob security was broken until the day I left (for over a year), giving anyone access to all floors (right off the back entrance most people would use). In October 2020, there was a shooting where approximately 15 rounds were fired two doors down from my apartment in the early morning. There was absolutely no communication to residents regarding the matter until that evening and gave no details to residents other than there was a shooter on the premises earlier in the day and police were investigating. Then, in July 2021 another resident discharged their weapon into my actual apartment. So if you care about your safety, I would not stay here. The amenities were closed for a significant period of time. I realize closures were necessary for safety from COVID-19, but the amenities were still closed long after restrictions were lifted while still paying full rent price. There was one time the lounge was left open and I had gone in to grab a cup of coffee and was scolded for entering the room as a staff member was filling their own cup. So they can use the amenities but I, as a paying resident, am forbidden? Once community events resumed they were relegated to boring 'grab and go' meals or something that did not foster community involvement. Concierge, which would take care of packages and offer additional services, was stopped. There would consistently be trash, broken lights, etc. in the stairwells and never cleaned. My apartment itself was okay. The major complaint I had was there was no natural light at all (I would not recommend an apartment facing the courtyard or pool). It would almost be completely dark inside even during the middle of the day - lights would need to be on all the time. There are several better apartment options to choose from in the area that will provide a much safer environment with the same, if not better, amenities and apartment finishes for a similar price.

I love the location of where I live in proximity to uptown and Southend, it's the perfect in-between. My apartment is very modern and spacious as a one-bedroom apartment. There are lots of places to walk my dog and the amenities are awesome! THe leasing office is always happy to help as well.

I have had a great experience at Loftone35 so far. I love the location being close to uptown and south end. (I feel safe which is a big plus) The management staff is always available and helpful as well as maintenance staff. This is a great apartment complex if you are looking for a good mixture of younger adults/professional adults. The hallways are free of beer cans and loud music, unlike other complexes.

I love living at the lofts! The staff is great. I love the location, it is very easy to walk to uptown and south end. Gym and pool are very accessible and great condition.

If you get an apartment facing Morehead Street then beware of the sounds of constant street traffic that will flood your apartment. The windows are so poorly insulated that it’s nearly impossible to sleep throughout the night without being awoken to the sound of muscle cars and motorcycles that constantly roar through the streets. Loft One35 really needs to address this issue as there is way too much competition in Charlotte for them to have such cheap features.

Ive lived here for about 8 months and due to Covid-19, Ive been stuck inside the apt for about 5 of those months. I love it here. When moving from Arizona the leasing staff did a FaceTime tour of the complex so I could see what I was getting before I had to sign. Maintenance requests have been fulfilled within 1-2 days and the guys are always so nice! I rarely hear my neighbors and its located near all of Southends restaurants and bars. All amenities are closed right now but the pool, lounge and gym are nice.

New community under construction. Staff is professional, friendly and communicative/informative. Leasing process was seamless during a pandemic with safety measures being evident during a scheduled tour. Well lit, sense of community, friendly, safe environment (Concord PD seen checking resident area including areas under construction). Solid construction (don't hear neighbors), nice amenities, private drive with garage, private patio area, great floor-plan, community will not be "massive". Excellent proximity to highway and shopping.

I love living at LoftOne35. I have been here for 4 years and the maintenance staff is very attentive to your needs. Travis is a great assistance when I have issue in the apartment and works quickly to address any concerns. The front staff is just as great and contributes to making sure that everyone feels like they are apart of a community. This has been a wonderful experience. I will be sad to leave when I purchase.
