Pecan Park is roughly 30 minutes from several world-famous beaches, including Little Talbot Island State Park, Atlantic Beach, and Amelia Island State Park. For shopping and dining, residents head to River City Marketplace. This large shopping and dining area contains a variety of stores, including Gander Mountain, Old Navy, and Cracker Barrel. Duval Station Road, located along the southern edge of the neighborhood, contains a Publix supermarket and several smaller businesses. Be sure to check out the Pecan Park Flea and Farmers' Market, located off Pecan Park Road. This is one of Jacksonville's largest farmers' markets. It is a covered, open-air market complete with attractions that include bouncy houses for kids, a mini golf course, a food court, and the Beer Pond.
