New Getwell is served by Medal of Honor Park for outdoor fun and recreation. Free parking and admission ensure that this park remains an affordable as well as a fun place to spend a sunny afternoon with friends and family. The park is dog-friendly, so you can bring your pooch along with you for a day outdoors. While Medal of Honor Park doesn't have exercise facilities, a playground or annual events, its centerpiece is a beautiful lake, around which runs a fitness trail three-quarters of a mile long that locals use to burn calories and take in the scenery. Others prefer to use the park's abundant green space to throw Frisbees with their little ones or sit in the shade for a picnic lunch.

Women in Memphis head to Main Event Boutique in the downtown area. While it might be a bit of a drive from New Getwell, locals love the great selection and trendy atmosphere of this boutique.
