Parkchester used to be very much the working class only type of neighborhood. But as the cost of living continues to rise so does the rent and makes it impossible to survive in this economic climate. So most of the working class people have left to better more affordable places to live which happens to be outside New York City.

Rethink of living here. They shut off the water out of nowhere without notice, elevators constantly shutting down, constant issues with heat as well in the winter. Basic necessities one will need and they don't provide that on a daily basis.

Parchester is incredibly diverse but it has its fair share of problems. It's the high cost of living combined with a lack of privacy and space that makes it a bit of an insecure area. I mean you can get robbed if you decide to hang around for too long. The area is also rundown and people seem to be fast-paced with no sense of morality. It's just a shame that people are just minding their business and not communicating. Definitely on the bad side of things. Don't recommend this neighborhood unless you want to lose your cash.

I AM A NEW TENANT, MOVED IN ON SATURDAY 5/22/21. At the time of viewing the apartment I was promised some issues will be addressed before moving in. MY ISSUES WHERE NOT ADDRESSED. I had to call and schedule an appointment for my issues to be addressed. On hold for MORE THEN 30 MIN with the service department to only have a less than 5 min conversation. my appointment was scheduled, but not correctly. the job that needed to be done was not the job that was advised to the maintenance worker. he did not come ready to do the job I advised when scheduled the appt. So today same day as appt had to reschedule again. On hold again for more than 30 Min to have Raymond tell me he can't reschedule because the inspector need to see it and he is not available not this week or the Next. HONESTLY IF I WOULD'VE KNOWN THIS WAS LIKE THIS I WOULD'NT HAVE MOVED IN. PARKCHESTER SERVICE IS NOT WHERE IT SHOULD BE FOR THE AMOUNT OF TENANTS. THE OFFICE STAFF IS EVEN WORSE.
